Google Photos: Backup & Edit

Don’t get this app. I clicked get, there was not price on the app, only said in app ads. I was charged 6 transactions on my credit card. I had to cancel my credit card because this app kept charging transactions. Not only was I scammed 6 transactions, the app doesn’t work great. Made my pdf too big to upload. You’re better off doing Microsoft print to pdf for free.

Used to be so great but now after they introduced AI this past year, it’s clear that their algorithm fell apart. Try searching photos now. It’s a nightmare. I’m getting the most random scattered results whereas before it was all organized with the correct search, if I searched “Trees” I’d get pictures of trees not a picture of my Dog sitting on the couch. AI ruined Google! And they haven’t noticed as it’s been months since this search broke!

Used to be unlimited storage, now they want money for everything. Recently updated the app and it turned automatic uploads ON, now my account has no storage and 6500 pictures that do not red to be uploaded. I have to go and manually remove all of them on my computer because if I delete them via the app phone it deletes them on my camera roll too.... what a stupid, no though processing, senseless, smooth brained garbage app... Literally pushed me to buy a USB stick for backing up photos so I can uninstall the app entirely. Developers spend more time trying to make fancy highlights that nobody wants or cares about.

We used the share function all the time to keep the quality of photos good between androids and iPhones. But since they’ve changed to “updates” it hasn’t worked and my updates don’t even load. Very glitchy even with recent update, everything takes too long to load. Frustrating because it used to be my favorite app.

Google is a company that has now lost all credibility by bending over for a fascist.

Where did the slideshow capability go? And randomized slideshow with 3,5,10 seconds per pic?

The latest updates have changed where things used to be. A very frustrating experience when it creates a memory and then gets one photo wrong but you can’t edit that one photo out. You are left with accidentally deleting the memory and then feeling like you missed out. Would be much better if it just didn’t create the memory in the first place.

I will never use another google product again.

Creating an album and then hitting “Get Link” deletes the album.

The google apple feature that frees up space by deleting backed up images from iphone is a great example why its way better than iCloud.
