Imagine google sheets without any features, basically you can type in cells and that’s it. I don’t even need anything super fancy but the fact I can’t even add a drop down to a cell on the app makes me question why they bothered making it

The iOS/iPadOS Google Sheets app isn’t very good if you’re looking for a dedicated Sheets app. It’s more of a companion app to the web version. For example, if you’re using a keyboard and cursor with the app, it’s not optimized for either. It’s also not optimized for using an external monitor connected to an iPad with Stage Manager. If you only need a companion app to reference data within Sheets, it’s fine. If you’re looking for a dedicated spreadsheet app to get started, use Numbers or Excel.

If you’re going to force whoever’s on a mobile phone to use the app and get rid of browser editing completely, then at least have most of the features in the app version. I can’t get any work done because the app is so barebones. I try sign in to sheets on a browser and it doesn’t allow me. Do better.

I wouldn’t expect to keep up a corporations book keeping on a phone or tablet, but for the size of tasks I do on my tablet, this is perfect.., and the files can be imported into more serious desktop applications.

My go to spreadsheet on smartphone. I have no complaints i think it works very well for no cost.

I can’t seem to downloat this to my iPhone 11.
