I’m generally pleased with GT and have recommended it to friends. One annoying bug happening too often to suit me is when the purported ‘translation’ is an exact copy of the word to be translated. I do have a selection of foreign language to English dictionaries but can’t cover every language I encounter! Please fix this problem!

So much of the music we love has non-English text, if vocal, and performance cues like tempo and volume with which no music is truly playable. No need to study foreign languages just to grasp the essence of what we love. I’ve been ‘into’ classical music for over 65 years and wish I were born much later to have benefited from recent technological advances.
Why don’t you try to fix the issue? It should not be hard you fix. It’s a good app for short sentences. I wish the can add a choice for gender selection. Also, extend the time for speaking. With a small pause in your voice, it stops and you can’t continue your sentence. It cannot recognize full stop at the end of the sentence as well. Apple has an app called “ Pages”. I wish it has the same functionality but as a translator. Hope you can improve it

Apparently, if you have a Google pixel phone, the translating app is phenomenal, but they restrict its capabilities on other phones. The technology is there, why doesn’t Google just charge $20 for an app that allows people to talk back-and-forth using earbuds for a longer period of time. This app cuts you off after a short period of time and you constantly after remember to push the button in the middle for translation.

This app is terrible. In 2024 this app is not a good app it ought to show case endings for Russian. No innovation at Google Translate. This is basic language learning necessities. Terrible app I would not recommend Google translate at this point in time
When I translate English to Ukrainian it can sometimes really mess it up. I can get way closer translations using other means of translation. In a text message on my iPhone I can translate texts and it ends up being way closer if not exact translation. Google translate is pretty far off
