GoTrack Reviews

MUST$PAY$TO USE

Dimi - Toronto on

Complete joke. Cannot use without paying.

Ad

Djgvwkjd on

Can’t use app because you can’t get rid of the ad to upgrade.

Payment needed

PPT416 on

Canada

This is advertised at a go train station. I understand through reading other comments that GoTrack is a separate company but it’s so misleading for someone who is new to using the GO. Either this company or GoTransit needs to fix their ad.

Paid subscription?

Alalalalaldf on

Lol ive been to several different countries and cities and never seen an app someone uses to plan routes or see schedules that requires a subscription. And reading responses from the devs are even more hilarious. Basically saying “we r the best, if u dont like it byebye” haha. Maybe people are complaining because they are not getting moneys worth? Why not offer something interesting, like integration with Presto or whatever and give fares discount? discounts to restaurants or perks for using the app?? You have so many opportunities for your audience who obviously travel a lot by transit, and you inherently pass by so many retailers. If you want to make profit, consider investing in hiring a marketing manager or content creator, instead of letting someone who only knows how to code respond to customers lol. Once you start demanding money from people, no one gives a cent unless you tell them why you are worth our moneys

If and when it works.

rjmk on

Canada

I have found the performance of this app to be spotty at best. When it does work it does a decent job of telling me news about the service. But lately I find it works after the train has arrived. Whether or not I am using WiFi or my own data the number of no service messages makes this app a pass. Save your money.

No updated platform numbers

Very PO’d again on

Canada

Why am I paying for an app that can’t even provide the information it’s designed to do!! I want my money back

Can’t plan a route that involves a destination on another line

grahamrs on

Canada

I would like to plan my route from Danforth station (Lakeshore East line) to Exhibition station (Lakeshore West line). I can only plan it until union. Why? There’s no transfer or anything, and the go train schedule website sucks but at least it can do this.

Not for Everyone: Single Lane Only

JamesRWatson on

Canada

While 90% of users may only need a single lane, those of us who have complex trips are left out for this app. I’m not interested in cross referencing trips into and out of Union. Easily something they can build on with the software, and especially if you are paying for it.

Ridiculous Price

Exuviax on

Canada

For almost 0 route planning information and a glorified transit screen in your pocket, it serves the exact purpose the screens in union or at any station serve and yet somehow worse. Platform information needs to be rolled out to third parties asap, because this app is just a cash grab

Probably one of the simplest, most purpose built apps I’ve used. It’s easy to try and over engineer apps but this one absolutely hits the mark. Well worth the investment.
