## GPT Food Cam Description
GPT Food Cam is the simplest AI food logger and calorie counter in the App Store, and its core features are 100% free.

Unlike other food loggers and calorie counters, GPT Food Cam opens directly to the camera so you can quickly take a picture of your meal, add it to your feed, and see an AI-estimated calorie range and macros for the meal.

Add the GPT Food Cam widget to your Home Screen to see how many calories you have consumed each day. You can also share your photo food log through a private web link with your health coach, doctor, accountability partner, or someone else you trust. Food log sharing requires a paid subscription.

GPT Food Cam is free to use. To help cover the cost of AI calorie estimates, we may occasionally show an ad in your food photo feed.

We recently added an optional paid subscription for sharing your food log through a private web link. The subscription helps cover the cost of image hosting.

We found that many people using GLP-1 medications, including Ozempic and Mounjaro, are asked to share their food log with a doctor as part of maintaining insurance coverage, so we added this feature to make that easier. We also believe accountability can provide the extra nudge many people need to stay on track.

This app was inspired by my personal experience working with a food coach. I realized that building a consistent food logging habit was often more important than tracking every calorie or macro perfectly.

GPT Food Cam was initially built over two months during the summer in place of Ben Ashkenazi's college internship. We took a short hiatus, but we are now actively working on the app again and releasing updates.

I hope GPT Food Cam's focus on simplicity helps people build a lasting food logging habit and supports a more positive and healthy lifestyle.
