Pick up and ride to from Pattaya airport

Val85951 on

New Zealand

I’ve been using grab in different countries and it was great , but was disappointed unavailability to get a ride from Pattaya airport with constant cancellations from drivers, the final trip to airport I was overcharged, ( toll and foreign fee was added) on the top the price, so I would recommend to use another app for airport rides

Drivers accept with no intention of collecting you.

On several occasions while in Thailand I have had a driver accept a ride then drive in the opposite direction. No intention of picking you up. Just want to secure the job then collect a cancellation fee??? This is a pattern rather than a one off which suggests the incentives are not set up to discourage this behaviour. Poor version of Uber. Sort it out.

We always use Grab when we are in Thailand. Super efficient service, drivers usually very prompt, costs are transparent and inexpensive, vehicles are always clean and fit for purpose.

Great burgers!!

Said it was on its way for 2 hours - no help available

This app is fine when it works. But when it doesn’t… it’s terrible. Ordered dinner with a “guaranteed delivery time” option - went well past that time and no way of querying the order at all or getting any help. Hungry kids with no way to get food 2 hours after ordering. Would never use this app again.

Would be great if in tropical locations you added an option for topless or convertible cars I’d be happy to pay extra for this.
