It is really dumb the fact u can’t even cancel the order if they take so long. I have ordered food and there was no response for about 1 hr and the fact that I can’t even cancel it, after about 30 mins I receive my order which I couldn’t even cancel

Every time we place an order, the system encourages us to go cashless to expedite finding a rider. However, even when we choose cashless payment, we are still left waiting for half an hour before the app notifies us that our order has been canceled due to a lack of available riders. This has happened to us four times already.
I’ve been using Grab for a few years, mostly for food deliveries, and most of the time, drivers have been canceling orders through the app. If it relates to the fake-booking issues arising, then it should be addressed properly, but not in a way of disadvantaging those customers who are using the app itself. It shouldn’t be the drivers’ choice whether to accept or decline an order depending on the delivery address’s location or the mode of payment, or to even cancel an order if the customer’s/user’s account is verified and/or well rated. Grab Food has been an advantage for ordering food online and getting them delivered to specific addresses but not in this way where our orders can’t be delivered with drivers who choose to decline, cancel, or have specifications on modes of payment.
