## Granite Reviews in Canada

### ***-- "Exited to see this grow!"
This app is more or less exactly what I’ve been looking for since the downwards fall of Gaia GPS. I’m excited to see its usability and community grow. It would be amazing to submit backroad status reports within the app. One issue I have is that toggling the hiking layer on or off doesn’t seem to do anything. Maybe it’s because I haven’t paid for a subscription yet, but the layer doesn’t seem to do anything for me.
-- Shruggedtoast, 2026-08-21

### ***** "Best"
Best app for mountaineering
-- Let's_go_Śávè the__türtlëś, 2026-07-09

### ***** "The best app for backcountry trip planning and maps"
This is the best app by far for any backcountry trip planning. The maps are clear, there’s some really helpful terrain layers and it makes trip planning a breeze with the ability to draw routes and add waypoints. The community page is helpful to see beta and conditions, and to get ideas for future adventures!
-- Helen234557, 2026-04-18

### ***** "Backcountry mapping"
This was the best web browser app I could find that works on your phone for the back country. You can plan on desktop and make routes easily that are available for use offline on your phone
-- BC Skier 101, 2026-01-04

### **--- "Drains Phone Battery"
Great app with lots of features. BUT it drains the battery really badly when you record a trip.
-- LiBrink, 2025-12-29

### ***-- "The app is too “beta” for the price"
I tried the free trial and felt that the app is too “beta” for the price. It is just Mapbox’s 3D map (that you can find in number of other apps), plus some user generated content with local info.

Feels very fresh for now: tiles blink and jump, span jumps to inadequate locations, stranger things happen when you resume it from background.
-- ZohanHere, 2025-12-05

### ***** "Best Outdoor Navigation App"
This app is amazing! All the features you need. Simple to use.
-- leeeum, 2025-12-04

### ***** "Awesome app!"
Great mapping tool. I love the expert collections. Makes traveling and exploring much easier.
-- Nono Noraaa, 2025-11-18

### ***** "Great functionality"
Amazing functionality available in this app relative to what you need to pay for in competitors. 3d visualization is well done, intuitive, and useful.
-- Soupoder, 2025-09-19

### ***** "The long awaited Fatmap replacement"
Already very good app with a very receptive dev team asking the community what is important to them. Lots of unique features already
