I wish there was an account creation so then my deck could be saved across devices
Good words too !
Pls keep updating dude!!
I got this app because based on my mock i had problems with vocab. This app makes it super easy to memorize words. Im able to do 50-100 words in few hours. Would be great if there was a quiz mode.
I love this app it’s the best way to memorize new words. However my concern is I’m not seeing a lot of these words on the gre tests (however I’m in early stages of studying). How frequently is the app updated to reflect more recent gre words
Would be cool if you could select cards and put them into multiple separate reviewable decks instead of just having the normal and removed cards. For example I’d like to create an easy, medium and hard deck for myself to be able to review.
Even though it’s cheap, it’s not worth it. It’s difficult to memorize and you need synonyms not just definitions. I was much better off studying from gremat’s blackdeathon sets 1-32 of each set containing 30 words in Quizlet. So try that before you try this.
I had been using a really lame free Flashcards app for GRE Vocab for a few weeks before this app, and found myself dreading going over the Flashcards because of how blatantly boring it was to do and how much said app kinda sucked. I found myself spacing out so much after a few cards that it was becoming a waste of time, and I was memorizing slowly. This app is onto something though—I first heard about it just yesterday (no idea why not sooner) and figured the 99 cents is worth the risk for what it claimed to deliver. I’ve been using it for 24 hours on and off and can say that 1) I actually look forward to using these Flashcards because the lighthearted humor makes them more entertaining 2) Ive found can pay attention for longer when reading them (definitions are short and sweet and the humor and bright graphics tickle my monkey brain) rather than be lulled to sleep 3) thanks to the use of both definitions and helpful mnemonics, i feel like I’m committing words to memory at a much faster rate, and with noticeable progress: with the handful of words I’ve been reviewing, I did significantly better on the practice text completion I did today vs yesterday before downloading the app. I appreciate the effort put into making these cards humorous (I’ve heard that evoking an emotional response tends to help memory formation, so users who can’t handle a little immature/dark humor on occasion are just missing out really), as it’s been a silver lining to the grueling cramming process. I also like a lot of how the app is set up—being able to remove cards from the stack is really helpful to streamline the process, and the search feature is great. The reason I gave 4 stars because of how the UI is currently set up, as it greatly impacts the effectiveness of the app for me— I’d appreciate the review format being a bit different. Rather than having a list form where we can only tap on words in an ordered list to see the card, I’d appreciate the option to switch to the actual Flashcard format (the same format that daily words are presented in). Being able to have new words shuffled in with older ones I may not have mastered yet would be the perfect setup imo and would help the app’s effectiveness be that much better, as this is how I study and I think I’m not the only one. It just takes a lot of time to go through the list and it makes me wonder if I’ll be able to get as much use out of the app as I’d hoped. If you allow for more options like this though, I think this ap
Great app! Super helpful to learn vocab. I particularly love the sentences and ways to remember the words. They are more applicable than the sentences in books made by big test prep companies. I
