Great Western Railway Reviews
Logs off fast
Unreliable, logs off faster than any other app. When off, doesn’t allow access to any ticket information and it’s all cloud based.
Ignore 5 star reviews, they push users for reviews at moments when they are unlikely to give an honest review. This app is poorly designed and executed from an UX perspective.
Good app
Would like to have some more ‘joint’ stations or options. Eg Bristol parkway and Bristol temple meeds listed together as a preference.
Review
Still not that easy to use
Very good
Very good to see train times 👍
Login issues
Generally OK for basic use, checking times and accessing tickets. Would give it a higher rating BUT the app constantly logs you out of your account, often at the worst times. There’s no FaceID so you always have to go to your passwords and it takes a while to log in. When you’re at a busy gate this isn’t ideal. Also tickets don’t always work with your wallet. Hit and miss on that. Sort the access and wallet issues and a def 5 star.
Not good
have to sign into the app every time I open it!!
Doesn’t work
App just keeps coming error 5003, tried it several times never works
Apple wallet doesn’t work
Poor app signs you out all the time and tickets never load to Apple wallet.
Hopeless and VERY Frustrating
When it works, it’s great … but it seldom works, consistently doesn’t recognise my password but won’t let me reset it, won’t let me register as a different user.
I suspect the problem is actually with main system behind the app rather than the app itself, but it really needs sorting. Our local station doesn’t have a ticket machine or office so I don’t really have any other option.
London Travelcard ahhhhhgg
Does not allow you to save any railcard on account and also Very hard to purchase a Travelcard, which although you select as a destination, you must also change from a single to a return Not user friendly experience
