I’ve been using greatness for a few months now and credit it with helping me establish a good morning and evening routine. I was inspired by some of the content, but have found the daily coaching to be hit or miss. That said, _basic_ app features are often broken - like being able to check off a habit, see accurate habit history, and having push notifications match content. Whatever data model they're using is just not solid, and the core functionality suffers. There’s also no undo, and the UI is often broken too. It’s surprising given the otherwise polished look of the app. Customer service is good, likely overwhelmed by repeat bug reports, and I just hope they get their engineering house in order.
I tried this all for a week and it was not helpful. It doesn’t look nice, the habit tracking is clunky, and if you make a mistake tracking a habit there’s no intuitive way to fix that. I found using this app to be frustrating and cumbersome—definitely not something I want to add to my daily routine!
Please have an option to dismiss your insane number of pop ups. It was completely unclear that you need to actually start a pre-set program to see any navigation options. That onboarding experience was probably the worst I’ve ever seen, between the underlying screens zipping around and being so dark you didn’t get any sense of context for the feature you are trying to teach me how to use, there being no way to dismiss any of the screens, and forcing me to click on things to watch before I have even seen the homepage. People like to get oriented to a new product before they’re ready to consume content. Literally any amount of user research should have caught this. Pretty enough UI, absolutely terrible UX. I’m generally pretty calm, but this filled me with so much rage I immediately deleted the app.
This app didn’t work for me and I checked in the app and made sure I no longer had a subscription. Months later, they charged me. I reached out and asked for a refund - NOPE! Their customer service is a bunch of canned responses hiding behind their terms and conditions. They didn’t even email me to state they were going to charge me. It had been 3 months! Stay away from this app.
UPDATED: I did finally get my refund. Not overly impressed by the app - it was more of a task for me than really a motivator. I signed up for the app, excited about their claim to be so committed to customers’ success that they promised to reimburse me for the full purchase price if 3+ habits were kept for 21+ days. “Simply send an email and we’ll reimburse you right away!” they claimed. I’ve sent two emails 5 days ago to the designated address, received nothing back from one, and heard that “my concern requires assistance from a senior specialist” and then nothing since. Disappointing that their word doesn’t seem to be good…
My subscription auto renewed because there is a bug in their app telling you you’re on the free version. Therefore, I didn’t expect to be charged. When charged, I reached out to their support thinking it was an honest mistake and asked for a refund plus I noted the bug in the app but they won’t perform the refund despite this being a mistake in their app. The just refunded 50% back and closed my ticket instead of taking accountability and making it right to the customer. Incredible. I said this was not acceptable, yet you proceed with the same resolution. This is bad business. Over $16.50. I left a review but I can see from the other comments, I’m not the only one who has been swindled. Shame on you, your company, and all those working under your management helping you swindle others.
They will keep charging you even after you cancel and not give you a full refund. Not worth it.
Downloaded and registered for the app after being inundated with social media ads promoting a “refund challenge” entitling users to a full refund for their subscription after using the apps for 21 days. There is no documentation of this offer on their website or seemingly anywhere but the social media campaign. However, the terms and conditions in their app and on the website state unequivocally that refunds are only available 1.) within 14 days of purchase, 2.) only if the product is either not as described or faulty, and 3.) the user will lose access to the product once/if a refund is issued. All three of these conditions entirely contradict what is promised by the social media campaign.
Got the Greatness App because of an Instagram ad. After paying for a subscription, two things happened. First, it was immediately obvious that the app is extremely confusing, difficult to use, disorganized, sloppy, and poorly designed. Second, I discovered that there were MANY reports of fraudulent billing practices from other Greatness App customers. This included unauthorized charges, charges much higher than they should be, refusal to refund, no response to emails, etc. I immediately contacted the Greatness App for a refund. However they refuse to refund the purchase, saying “as an exception, I would like to offer you a 50% discount for the latest charge since your satisfaction is our team's highest priority.” This app is happily scamming people even when users try to hold them accountable, and doesn’t care one bit about customers. Or, quiet frankly, ethical behavior. Stay far away.
