Made for land navigators, ROTC and cadets, hunters, ranchers, search-and-rescue volunteers, surveyors, hikers and backcountry travelers who need MGRS or UTM and can't count on a signal. TRIP MODE • Start a trip in one tap and watch your trail build live on the map • Sunset countdown that tells you whether you'll get back before dark • "Get me back": an arrow that follows your own trail home • Falling-pressure storm warning from your phone's barometer • Battery forecast and a Save mode that stretches your charge • "I'll be back by" alarm, with a last-known-position screen you can read out over a radio • Finish with a recap of your trail, then share it as a picture RANKS AND BADGES • 20 badges across Easy, Normal, Challenge and Mission tiers • 8 ranks, from Recruit to Legend: finish a tier of badges to move up • All worked out on your phone from your own trips. Nothing is uploaded or compared with anyone. CORE NAVIGATION, NO SIGNAL REQUIRED • Live position in MGRS, USNG, UTM, Lat/Long and OSNG in large, high-contrast type • Five datums: WGS 84, NAD 27, OSGB 36, AGD 66, ED 50 • A live compass dial with an arrow, bearing, distance and terrain-aware ETA to your destination • AR Navigate: point your camera and see your waypoints at their real bearing and distance • Local and Zulu time WAYPOINTS • Mark your position in one tap, type a coordinate in any supported format, project a point by distance and bearing, or say "mark waypoint" hands-free • Loadouts: group waypoints, give each group a colour, and switch groups on and off • Radar view of every waypoint around you • Daylight check: can you reach a waypoint before dark? • Hazard, checkpoint, water, rally, campsite and vehicle categories, with repeat hazards flagged automatically MAPS AND ROUTES • A map with an MGRS/UTM grid overlay, a crosshair for dropping waypoints, and a ruler that snaps to your points • Plan multi-stop routes with cumulative distance and elevation • Terrain-aware route suggestions that favor gentle gradients TRACK RECORDING • Records a breadcrumb trail in the background, even with the screen locked • GPS noise is filtered out, so sitting still stays at zero and distance and climb stay accurate • Replay any trip on the map and get a plain-language summary generated on your device APPLE WATCH • Your MGRS position and a Mark Waypoint button on your wrist • Bearing and distance to your destination • A radar of nearby waypoints, zoomed with the Digital Crown • A watch face complication PRIVACY Your location, waypoints, routes and tracks stay on your device. There is no account, no login, no ads, no analytics and no trackers. Map imagery needs a connection; everything else works offline. LANGUAGES English and Arabic, with full right-to-left layout. One purchase. No subscription. ## Grid North Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/3f/90/d4/3f90d439-fd15-e6ea-bfbb-c787307b933e/s06-loadouts-framed.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/21/8b/54/218b5496-8756-f4e4-ed2f-d909528b293b/s02-recap-framed.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/b9/4d/15/b94d1576-2c1b-1c4d-f251-eb59ed0b261f/s09-location-framed.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/71/ec/3a/71ec3a9b-52dc-92ed-472c-8b46a2a034f4/s03-badges-framed.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/a8/34/52/a8345280-8f2f-af6f-1d5c-cdf0bfc8583c/s07-routes-framed.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/5a/f4/50/5af45079-2c75-0693-572f-7fdb3425cfbe/s08-map-framed.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/13/6b/8f/136b8fc1-aba0-5c6b-7448-0cdc2a10828d/s04-compass-framed.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 8](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/3d/86/8b/3d868b2e-2d86-6df1-2556-86ad76c1da64/s10-track-framed.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 9](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/3f/c7/f6/3fc7f6e6-b98c-0a25-8a69-bf6776099e9e/s05-radar-framed.png/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 10](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/e6/ee/12/e6ee12cc-b339-5205-fc78-01b59f1e2843/s01-trip-live-framed.png/1242x2688.png) ## Grid North Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Paid | United Arab Emirates | Navigation | #3 | | Top Paid | United Arab Emirates | Overall | #16 | | Top Grossing | United Arab Emirates | Navigation | #88 | ## Grid North Discovered Keywords - grid north ## Grid North Available In - [United Arab Emirates](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/united-arab-emirates) - [Armenia](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/armenia) - [Barbados](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/barbados) - [Brunei](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/brunei) - [Belarus](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/belarus) - [Algeria](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/algeria) - [Ghana](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/ghana) - [Kuwait](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/kuwait) - [Lebanon](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/lebanon) - [Sri Lanka](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/sri-lanka) - [Mali](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/mali) - [Mauritius](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/mauritius) - [Nigeria](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/nigeria) - [Nepal](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/nepal) - [Philippines](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/philippines) - [Pakistan](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/pakistan) - [Qatar](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/qatar) - [Uganda](https://apptail.io/app/grid-north-WNQB/uganda) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
