Grim Quest tries to blend tabletop RPG vibes, familiar dungeon crawling and roguelike mechanics, and a classic turn-based combat system into an accessible and entertaining package. Because of its attention to written storytelling, detailed worldbuilding and abundance of lore, Grim Quest can be similar to a solo Dungeons and Dragons campaign, or even a choose your own adventure book.

Grim Quest is a single player game and can be played offline. It has no lootboxes, energy bars, overpriced cosmetics, content locked behind endless microtransactions, or other modern monetization schemes. Just a one-time purchase for the full game, and completely optional goodies for those who wish to support the game and its development.

Best Game on IOS I’ve played

Best darkest dungeon similar game on ios.

Incredible -please alter or explain mutagen rates though

Amazing story, great game. Very entertaining and very high replay quality. It lets you play for a good while before asking you to get the full game. $5 is very worthwhile. My only (hyper specific and not gameplay affecting) problem is how little mutagen you find or buy. You can use it for alchemy to make useful items, but it’s hard to get. If you like this game, try Shattered Pixel Dungeon

One of the best turn based text type games imo.

Worth the time and money

I don’t know quite what to say, but I’m sure going to try. Grim Quest was one of my favorite games. It has hours of immersive gameplay, a free demo of the first act, and a lack of annoying and costly micro transactions. The music really makes me feel like I’m in a dungeon full of monsters and worse, which really adds to the feeling of the game. I must warn you though that the game has a LOT of repetitive dungeon crawling which may not be fun for everyone, but if that’s what you want in a game this one is definitely worth the five bucks. Thank you for your time.

Was unsure at first

This game is amazing, there are a bunch of crappy games out there that try too hard but this one is the real deal!

Does anyone else not know how to attack????

I mean the games fun but I can’t figure out any attack buttons. I’ve been tapping enemies like 30 times every turn and it never works. After that I tried using my abilities to help me but those didn’t work either. I’m sure it’s a great game but I need help

Very Fun RPG

If you are a fan of rpg I would recommend this game.

Great game but scummy

The game is great. Very well made and fun to play BUT it’s not a full free game. You can play through the first dungeon to completion before it ever tells you that you have to pay for the full game. As soon as I killed the boss on the first dungeon, the game locked and wouldn’t let me do any new dungeons or the dungeon I just beat. It holds the game hostage unless you pay for the full game. There needs to be a warning or notice at the start that it’s basically just a trial.
