Exceptionally buggy on notifications
Notifications don't show up timely It'll show that I have an unread message if I am the one doing the sending to my own message Messages don't show as read unless I view on them long time I regularly get notifications for messages that are very old and already read and even for vanishing pictures that have been seen Moment ago, I got a message saying I had 145 unread messages when I didn't have actually any Then a few minutes later, I get another message saying that I have eight unread messages and I don't have any Back to back garbage notifications consistently. This added! Just got notification of a message I read 33 minutes ago. Wifi good so not a signal thing since I read it. On and before that more random count alerts of unread messages. This are tech issues ongoing but dont get me started on the features, lack if valuation, number of phonies who can fake location and try to get personal info from you. There is no evidence that Grindr wants to do anything to stop it. Ad revenue from policy violators is still revenue! Also not a gay app anymore. So many straight people its just a hookup app for everyone and they done have proper filtering for that!

The ads are out of control. Seriously every single time I open the app multiple times and even popping up as I’m actively typing out a response to a message. It’s insufferable at this point the app is basically unusable. Everyone needs to jump ship to Sniffies and stop using this god awful app.

Since the shift
Since the shift to their servers Grindr functions terribly it doesn’t load your location and you constantly have to scroll pull down to refresh it doesn’t refresh automatically and it freezes even after laying for the month I was essentially robbed, when advising support they offered no additional time for free after I paid. Very poor customer service, poor customer concern and interaction. Poor functioning app.

The users on here are racist. If you have melanated skin of any kind, you’re not welcomed. This app is for the Abercrombie type and the wanna be Abercrombie type.

Grindr still the best
The app is actually rlly good. I wld say in its hay day it was 5 stars. Now it's hidden behind some bizarre pay structure but still relatively usable. Ppl keep complaining about the guys on the site but that has nothing to do with Grindr. It's up to an individual how they want to portray themselves.
Expensive Glitch
This app is 15 years old FIFFFFTEEN. It continues to be super glitchy and expensive. It seems like you exploit your community because of your notoriety and do the bare minimum to maintain it. SHAME
