## Grocery Outlet Bargain Market Reviews in United States

### *---- "unusable with 1 exception"
tried to scan my “card” during two separate shopping trips and was unable to. the app locks you out of “premium mode” unless you make 3 transactions in a month. because it doesn’t work for me i guess i’m locked out. the app is only really useful for checking prices and it doesn’t even have all products updated.
-- dr thhgghufdckkufdru, 2025-07-01

### *---- "Most recent update LOCKED deals behind “paywall”"
They recently updated the app a week ago and locked certain deals behind an effective paywall, where you need to go and buy an item on 3 separate occasions or spend $150, and these expire within 30 days. Terrible marketing thought to get people to spend or buy more, especially with a budget oriented deal store.

Literally 1/3 of the app is now locked with these “treasure chests” if you aren’t a WOW member which basically ruins the purpose of having an app to look at deals to begin with.
-- KrYthReX, 2025-06-30

### ***** "First Time"
My first trip and it won’t be my last 😁
-- Purplebasset, 2025-06-30

### *---- "New Updated"
The new update is a deterrent for shoppers.
-- Thecriticalpraiser, 2025-06-30

### *---- "Used to be fine"
I have to become an “insider” to see products on the app. No worries, I won’t shop there.
-- Reviewman57364, 2025-06-28

### ***** "My go to"
I go every other day, i love this store
-- Melgacia, 2025-06-28

### **--- "WTH"
Why why why are there now a bajillion little locked treasure chests instead of products when I try to “Browse all” — this is the dumbest thing ever. Being able to see the new deals is what made me use the app and come to the store.
-- pileofhottrash, 2025-06-28

### *---- "Terrible update"
Locked update makes app worthless. If you think you’re going to attract shoppers by hiding what’s on sale, then I’ll just go to ALDI or Lidl. Are you trying to drive customers away??
-- CW19376629996161082PA, 2025-06-27

### *---- "Wow! Shady data collecting methods!! Who would have thought?"
It's bad enough to hide certain deals behind a big shiny gift box that you can only unlock by giving up your personal info, but making it so you can't even see what they want you to sign up for without making an account first is just scummy. Immediate uninstall.
-- AvenP, 2025-06-27

### *---- "New Update is Terrible"
I used to check the app every day for deals. Now it’s just unusable. I literally cannot use it for the intended purpose of grocery shopping because I have no idea what items the store has in stock anymore because so much is hidden, and I don’t want to make the trip to Grocery Outlet if I don’t know whether they have the things I need.

Jesus Christ. You really ruined a good thing.
