I wanted to test it. I closed the account before the trial ended and I was still charged
I’ve been looking for Michelin star recipes everywhere, so when I stumbled on this app’s tik tok, I took a leap and downloaded the app. Am on the 7 day free trial, and noticed by default, it automatically renews to the pricey annual fee, instead of giving you the option to renew monthly. Now into the app, and my first impressions aren’t good - lots of recipes use very poor English, and the ingredients lists aren’t specific. I found a beef tartare recipe that listed 100 grams of beef. No specific kind, just “beef”. Would not recommend.
I keep thinking the app is broken since it has no sound? But when I see the ads for it there is either music or some verbal instruction on the video? I can’t even find the instructions or under the support for the sound? It looks fantastic otherwise. We had Almalfi lemons show up in our grocery store so I am going to be making limoncello. But the video is silent? Is this normal?
If you want to learn new techniques, or be inspired by professionals, this is a great app. The MasterClasses are great, some of the amateur posts seem to be questioned. But if you are confident in your ability to create, the ideas and inspiration alone are worth it imo. My only negative is the video are only available on mobile. I would recommend them allowing people to view on their computers as well.
Targeted to professional and advanced amateur cooks, you will learn techniques you’d never find in other sites. Very interesting and well laid out!
I want to love this. App should state “in app purchase” to be accurate. At nearly $7 a month it seems like a real fit for some. For those of us wanting to impress our partners and friends with an occasional dinner with friends, this app is an expensive option.
I tried logging in, I don’t know how many times and I’m getting always confusing answers. This app is not bulletproof. I have no idea how to fix all of this here even though I use an iPhone for over 10 years. I seem to like it but I’d like to verify it and would like to have your help.
There is very little content. The content that is uploaded is not vetted. Lots of “recipes” are just a list of ingredients with nothing further. No weights or volumes etc. The masterclasses are good but you will get through them quickly. This is an incomplete idea of an app.
