Grosave is a free grocery price comparison and smart shopping list app built for New Zealand. Scan a receipt, a list on another screen or a handwritten list, then compare nearby supermarkets and find a better-value plan for your full shop in one tap. Our analysis found potential savings averaging 13.6% when suitable alternatives were included, about $1,700 a year on a $250 weekly grocery shop. HOW GROSAVE WORKS Type your list or scan it. Choose the supermarkets near you. Add suitable alternatives if you are flexible about brands. Compare buying plans for your full list. Use the plan as a checklist while you shop. SMART SHOPPING LISTS • Scan receipts, lists on another screen and handwritten lists. • Add general items such as “milk” or choose exact products. • Include alternative products from different brands. • Share lists with family or friends and see updates in real time. • Keep multiple lists synced across your devices. COMPARE AND SAVE • Compare prices across supported NZ supermarkets. • Sort products by price or price per unit. • See plans that balance lower prices with fewer, nearby stops. • Check grocery specials and deals before you shop. • Set price alerts for your favourite products. • View price history to judge whether a special is genuinely good. Grosave is free to use. Based on Grosave’s internal analysis of 727 eligible NZ shopping lists, compared with buying the full list at the nearest single supermarket. $250 × 52 × 13.6% = $1,768. Actual savings vary by location, product availability, selected alternatives and changing prices. ## Grosave Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/be/cc/30/becc301a-74e8-30d5-203a-a2ef528b3ca5/736cf6b0-32ac-41c4-897b-2a47766bd5b9_Hotpot_0.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/92/bb/35/92bb3519-c85e-f775-73bd-f9556be97158/6808302d-2db1-4b1f-a01c-44cd51d2e161_Hotpot_1.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/8d/d0/8d/8dd08d2a-c08b-22d0-cfa8-8972623959d7/1c231470-5eb7-4009-b264-434648e64e02_Hotpot_2.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/34/85/d5/3485d58e-bcc5-b7b8-2216-055edbccb4a7/dc9ad3d4-d6f2-43c7-9f6e-357574c550fb_Hotpot_3.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/36/7d/6d/367d6d85-beaa-d385-98af-2c7fc8c1c9d8/f915f672-6f56-4479-b56b-447d9bf83317_Hotpot_4.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/41/d1/bf/41d1bf6d-8824-6a86-a766-de467809faac/5090efc5-4718-4f18-a07a-a4360ecc6d9f_Hotpot_5.png/1242x2208.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/cf/54/1b/cf541b68-8965-a052-cc61-5e46791782b9/82be7e30-ff42-4283-a360-58b9ceafedb0_Hotpot_6.png/1242x2208.png) ## Grosave Rating Breakdown in New Zealand - 5 stars: 18 (58%) - 4 stars: 1 (3%) - 3 stars: 2 (6%) - 2 stars: 4 (13%) - 1 stars: 6 (19%) ## Grosave Reviews in New Zealand ### ***** "A must for all kiwis" Cost of living has gone up, and this has been my supermarket hack to save more.
