I love the app as it is a great way to escape your own bubble - go and try different settings and you will see immediately that the world you know is only a fraction of the world of anyone around you - go dare trying! if you are brave enough to challenge your own assumptions.
I cant even login on iphone
The app does hide the passwordlibe
I use 1passfor pass management
Very bad design UI
There’s actually a free version!
Idk why but for some reason I decided to take a look at their site and I realised you can actually read news without a) having a subscription or b) even login in! AMAZING! This is just after half an hour or so of scrolling through the app (I have a free account now) and I really like how everything’s structured. You have individual events and if you klick on it you can see a bunch of articles about the event from all different newspapers, and here it comes, EVEN ONES THAT AREN’T WRITTEN IN ENGLISH! They a google translated by default but you can read it in the original language and after your done read about other topics relating to the event. It’s really intuitive and as someone who’s generally curious but only knew covid broke out because people in school were talking about it for days because keeping up with any newspapers doesn’t seem worth it (a tone of really unimportant unnecessary information across way too many separate sites you’d have to sift through every few hours to find some good stuff) I really enjoy spending time on this site!
No local news
Almost no coverage of local and european news stations except for GB - Germany, Switzerland and Austria are literarily a black hole
5/5
Good app, well formatted, and informative. Good to know that people are still out there trying to open our eyes to the bias in news outlets.
Grossartig zum Entdecken von News
und ihrer zeitlichen Entwicklung!
So close to perfection
I’m very interested and extremely close to using this app to replace all my news reading apps. The single thing holding me back with the app is not having the option to jump straight into the browser view when looking at a full article. I love that it has a button that lets you do this once you open an article and LOVE that it loads straight into reader view and loads all my extensions because I get a dark mode view with my content blockers all working. I just wish we could have a toggle that makes it the default, like other apps have. Something that says “open in-app or use reader mode in the built-in browser.” Short of that little nitpick, I’m blown away by this service. This is what I have been looking for and having to do on my own for years and years. Bless you for making this service. I will be referring ALL of my friends and family to this.
Prices more than doubled
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great app and very objective in its mission, but now you have to pay more than double what you used to pay to get the same features. I don’t need the app to get the information I need in my daily life, but it does to make it easier. However the enormous increase in price all of a sudden just put me off so I’ll get my news like I use to for free.
Hijacked my phone
Made the mistake of watching an embedded twitter video on one of your stories and Ground allowed twitter to hijack my audio and it kept playing in the background even after I force closed Ground. Had to completely reboot my phone to get it to shut up. Apparently this is the latest ad strategy. Blare ads from an audio/video source the end user can’t close out of or shut down.
Solid App
App performs just like the web version. User interface consistency between the two means I don’t have to adapt depending on app vs website.
