If you hate news agencies that prevaricate to spin the truth you will like their ratings. If they say “despondent” and shoulda said “lonely” instead or just left it at “sad” then they won’t get a highly factual” rating. Great prices too!
They seem to use rudimentary AI to create feeds for you. Which means you don’t get very well curated news. You get nonsense where of they talk about a murder on court street, it’ll be in your sports feed due to the word “court,” as an example. Also entering why you rank sports news as liberal and conservative. Half of the blind sport articles have to do with non-political stuff like sports or vacations. It might be good in the future, but because the AI they use isn’t useful, the entire app suffers. I did click the 3 dots to see less of the fake sources, but you kept giving them to me ad nauseam. The problem is that you should be able to block things that aren’t news. What you’ve done is given a platform to liars that make things up. I did report the bugs repeatedly. Maybe you’ve fixed some by now, but I gave up and moved on.
In today’s environment it’s difficult to confirm the validity and bias of news items. Ground News displays not only the source of news items but the bias and accuracy of the source. I found it to be extremely useful.
It does not do anything useful at least for me and they wouldn’t refund. So if you are thinking of trying out keep that in mind.

It’s great for news stories. Some of the stories don’t pertain to the category. Would like to see better filters. I see this app has very high potential.

Pretty good at showing you who and what are spinning their news. It’s a veritable s show out there. If you have the mental bandwidth to think outside the parties and maybe even challenge your perspective. Great app.
It is really too bad that none of you give us an option to shutoff ads, both the sort that takes over the screen for sone seconds as well as the absurd, repetitive in page ads. You’re tripping if you think I’m paying for this - ain’t happening.
Ground news does a pretty good job of updating me with what appears to be unbiased news sources that really allow me to see what’s happening in the world. No elicit wording, no political agenda, just information on what is going on when you need it. Would be better if you didn’t have to pay for in-app features, but honestly I can respect trying to make a profit.
