Been using VoIP for over 15 years. Moved back over to the Apple ecosystem and needed a reliable VoIP client for mobile use. Decided to try Groundwire and apart from some minor initial teething issues, the app works great. What I like is the minimal battery drain. Some VoIP apps run continuously, keeping the VoIP connection open, thus impacting the battery. Groundwire overcomes this. All in all, I highly recommend Groundwire.
It’s been consistently brilliant for years and one of the best value-for-money app purchases I’ve ever made. What’s with the new logo, though? It looks more like ‘Google Inc’ than ‘phone client’.
Been a user for about a decade and the latest update has ruined my homescreen with the awful new app icon. No option to change it or a dark mode. Please please bring back the old icon at least as an option!
The app is mostly good, but it's poor at switching between multiple calls. The UI for switching between calls is buggy (and bad), and it frequently drops calls that have been put on hold. Also the new icon (November 2024) is horrible. I think I'll just keep the previous version installed.
After trying all the free soft phone software I landed with Bria, after several issues with my phone not ringing when a call came in unless the app was loaded, I decided to try Groundwire and it was probably the best £10 I have spent. It works flawlessly, I never miss a call, works perfectly in the background with PUSH even when the app is closed. Been using it for over a year without a problem. Following the recent update I had a small issue so I contacted support not sure if I would get a reply as I am not a large company, but got a very quick reply from Gabriel solving my issue, excellent service. I even recommended this my VoIP provider who now recommends Groundwire to all his clients! Try it….
It was a great app, until the last update. I had to delete the app, as looks the softphone Ap provided by acrobats conflicted with this. I have now to reconfigure wich is not nice. Please do regression testing before releasing. Thanks.
For something I use occasionally, entering everything again is not worth the time. Deleted.
Disappointed to see that Apple Watch integration is limited to a simple notification indicating that the app is receiving a call. No way to answer the call, no caller id until the call has ended.
The app performs well but it never shows me the number of who is calling it just says my name.
