Once the initial connection is made, the app will automatically wake up and start syncing whenever your camera is powered on with Bluetooth enabled within range of the iPhone – even in the background! This allows you to reliably get up to date location information in your images without having to interact with an app, set an explicit duration for location updates or excessively drain your iPhone battery. Basically, set it up once, then forget about it. Quietly and accurately with minimal fuss and battery usage. -- prenagha, 2025-02-22 ### ***** "Works great with GR IIIx and III HDF" Excellent almost dummy-proof app and the BT connection and location mapping is very “sticky” when one turns on the cameras. Location syncing also worked while running both my IIIx and III HDF at the same time. It does take a second to lock the location after your turn on the camera, but it’s significantly better than Ricoh’s Image Sync (which frequently loses location sync if the camera or phone goes to sleep even if you have the background location transmission to have no time limit).
