## GT Eats Description
GTEats is Guyana’s first secure, cashless food ordering and delivery service with service available in the greater Georgetown area as of January 2023. The GTEats app features Guyana’s favourite restaurants, eateries, catering companies, food products companies, pharmacies and grocery stores. Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and the app allows consumers to track their order in real time along with the name and photo of the delivery driver.

The GTEats technology platform includes mobile apps for Consumers, vendors and delivery drivers The GTEats technology platform features secure PCI compliant encrypted payments with no card information stored in the app or on the company’s servers. A convenience feature uses the consumer’s unique device ID to authenticate their payments, eliminating the need to re-enter sensitive information.with expansion plans within a very short time.

The app will not and the 6 digit code to my phone when trying to setup a profile for the app. Should be able to use the app with having to create a profile. This apps need a major update.

Update: finally got the code sent to my phone. But now when placing an order the app says it’s not delivering to my area and gives no indication why or when it will. Another disappointment.

I’m a skeptic by nature especially when it comes to things in Guyana, but this is the first app that will receive five stars from me and I don’t give 5 stars out lightly. It worked as advertised. I ordered Chinese food from Hilton, and I was able to pay with my companies AMEX card. Only issue is the time but they have no control over that so I won’t ding them.

I ordered popeye’s chicken. The order was chicken, fries and corn. After 45 minutes of waiting to see if my order is on the way. I reached out to support. I gave my order number to the support center. They wrote back saying the order was canceled, because they had no corn. With no indication via the app requesting if they should go ahead with the order,  or take off the corn and continue with the order or cancel the order all together. 👎🏽
