## GT eToken Description
GT eToken Application Description (About this app)
The GT eToken is a mobile application for generating One Time Passwords (OTPs) used in authenticating electronic transactions.

A one-time password (OTP) is a secure and automatically generated string of characters that authenticates the user for login and/or electronic transaction completion.

Electronic transactions include (but may not be limited to) web, internet banking and mobile banking transactions, where you are required to enter a 6-digit token-generated code.

A one-time password (OTP) generated from your GT eToken App can be used as an alternative to or alongside the GTBank hardware token device.

Activating Your GT eToken app
To activate your GT eToken app, select your customer type and choose your preferred activation method, which can be the use of your Bank card, Hardware Token or by calling contact center to get an authorization code.

Your data ID will be verified to complete the activation.

Using Your GT eToken app:
Once your app is activated, you can create a unique 6-digit Passcode that will be used for subsequent log in to the application and enjoy 24/7 banking.

Note: To avoid your OTP being used by anyone, you absolutely DO NOT DISCLOSE OTP code for anyone.

Gave it a 1star cos there is no zero. It’s frustrating using GTbank since they upgraded their core banking application. Honestly a nightmare! Don’t have a hardware token, was glad to see they they have an etoken app, downloaded and tried to get an etoken to complete an urgent transaction. On the etoken app, I told that I can’t use the option of debit card to get my Token but it’s listed as one of the options available. I need to either use a hardware token or auth code so what’s the point of the etoken app? None of the phone numbers attached to the auth code tab works. The app should be improved or pulled down. This is ridiculous.

Very difficult to open, even the arrow to return back won’t even click, one can’t even gain access to it.. you can’t even depend on using it when there is an emergency.. I wonder what the app is even there for.

App is very faulty and buggy. I cannot believe I have to reinstall to all the app and call the Bank every 3 weeks to get it to work. Even when it does work the interface is buggy and ‘bigly’ faulty. This is supposed to be an upgrade and replacement for my token that I left back home in Nigeria but I have to make expensive calls or bother the Bank every time I am ready to make a transaction.

On my first download, I had to call customer service for support on authorization code before I could use my e-token which was okay yes. Upon any updates, I have to always call and at some point; I was told to go to the nearest branch just to get authorization code. Why will customer service not give me the details? What if there was an emergency? What is the essence of calling customer service if they can’t help? This made me regret updating my e-token app, yet there was no notice that such process will be required. It is expected that you notify customers about the process  before they update their app, so that we can have the option of not updating rather than inconveniencing ourselves to the bank on every update. This is my only concern, otherwise I enjoy using the app honestly. Thank you
