## Guitar Scales & Chords Power Description
To improve your guitar playing, learn scales, chords, and the relationship between them. Stay in tune with the tuner and enhance your rhythm by practicing with the metronome.

Practice scale loops to master positions and develop muscle memory. Engage in scale exercises that will improve your finger dexterity and ability to improvise. Begin slowly and gradually increase your speed as you improve.

Play scales and chords by swiping across the strings. The direction of the swipe determines whether the playback is ascending or descending. Tap on a note to play it.

Scale positions correspond to the CAGED system, which consists of five patterns that cover the fretboard for each scale. The chord shape for each position is displayed to assist you in learning it in any key.

The tuner offers a chromatic mode or the option to select from various tunings.

The tuner and instruments use an adj. reference frequency, set to 410 Hz - 470 Hz (default A = 440 Hz).

The Circle of Fifths displays common chords for a key, aiding in composing music, learning key signatures, and transposing songs to different keys.

Metronome provides click and drum voices, beat subdivisions, and tap to set the BPM (10 - 400). Time signatures: 2/2, 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 3/8, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, and 12/8.

Create PDF diagrams (color and black-and-white) of scale positions or all notes on a full fretboard, as well as diagrams of all chord notes on a full fretboard. These 8.5” x 11” PDFs are easy to print, save, and share.

## Guitar Scales & Chords Power Reviews in United States

### ***** "Awesome"
This is an awesome app and as far as i am concern the only missing feature to make it perfect is giving it repetitive playback for chords, just like the amazing repetitive playback feature for scales. Users can practice their scales while the chord is ringing out.
-- Jarexx, 2025-02-08

### ***** "I like the layout and options"
This app does what no other guitar scales app in this app store can do; it displays a full scale, scale position, and chord info at the same time. I love this. I also like that I can orient the fretboards horizontally. Good common sense options and settings available too. That being said, the app cold use a refresh on the look/design. As of writing this, the app has not been updated in a year, a little concerning.
-- Rambo8649, 2025-01-17

### ***** "Best guitar app"
This is by far the best guitar app I have used in terms of ease of use and functionality
-- Norm from New Mexico, 2025-01-12

### ****- "Quite useful"
I have used this a lot for learning chords and scales and music theory. Very intuitive - user friendly. Can display by individual patterns across the fretboard or all the patterns at once for the entire fretboard. Can show by intervals, note names, or finger pattern. Currently, I'm learning Mixolydian scale patterns and dominant 7 chords and arpeggio patterns. I'd definitely purchase again cuz it's inexpensive for what you get compared with subscription based apps.
-- Barney the Pothead, 2024-11-16

### ***** "Best everything app. Get it!"
It has built in tuner, metronome, scales, it has everything. You need to get this!
-- Hillybro7, 2024-05-01

### ***** "The perfect guitar app? I think so!"
Guitarists, this is the app you need. It has a comprehensive reference of scales and chords, and it has a nice metronome. It’s easy to use. It just…works. Perfect for what I needed to learn the fretboard and scales - and it’s an affordable one-time payment. This blows away all the other apps I tried.
-- Lazer1986, 2024-02-27

### ***** "Serious Guitarist need this app."
Thanks for developing such a great app for guitarist. Everything to learn in three views. This app has helped me reach my goals in understanding scales, chords, and modes. One of the best apps for players. Thanks, Vintag54
-- Yorkbluesman, 2023-06-22

### ***** "THE BEST GUITAR APP AVAILABLE"
I have been studying and playing guitar for many years. I play blues and other styles and I use many alternate tunings. I have been looking for something like this and am grateful I found it. This app is outstanding for understanding music theory, scales and chords, in any tuning. It allows the user to print out in color all possible scales and chords for any tuning. Even if you only use standard tuning this is a wonderful learning app. I think the developer is a genius for taking such complex data and making it so usable. And the app is free with no additional charges - very unusual. I recommend this for any guitar player no matter the experience level. Thank you Thomas Gunther!

### ***** "One of the best!!"
You will not be disappointed.
-- WC Shepard, 2022-10-27

### ***** "Great utility"
Used this app for many years, both iPhone and iPad, one stop, easy access, don’t need much else.
