Pulls on every walk. Grabs the dummy and runs. Sound familiar? Most dog owners blame the dog. Ben Randall — back-to-back British Cocker Champion and trainer to Gordon Ramsay — knows the real reason: the dog was never shown clearly what was expected. That one shift in understanding is what the Gundog app is built on. A proven method. Not just videos. The Beggarbush training system starts indoors, using mealtimes to build focus before a single distraction exists. Then the garden. Then open spaces. Each stage only happens when your dog is genuinely ready — not when you've run out of patience. It's the same step-by-step system behind Ben's bestselling book and years of championship-winning results. Now broken into 300+ video lessons you can follow at home, in the field, or wherever your dog needs work. What's inside: - Puppy foundations and early obedience - Recall, lead work and heel - Dummy retrieving and hunting patterns - Spaniel and retriever fieldwork - Health, nutrition and care A community that gets it Connect with fellow gundog owners who share the same approach — reward-based, patient, and built around understanding your dog. Ask questions, share progress, and learn from people who've been exactly where you are. Ask Ben directly Interactive webinar for masterclass deep dives on Gundog topics to advance your understanding and Q&As to answer any training questions. Every subscriber gets access — like having a professional trainer on call, without the cost. Live monthly webinars Train alongside Ben each month, covering the challenges that matter most — from first commands to competition preparation. For Labradors, cockers, springers, pointers and all gundog breeds. As featured in Country Life Magazine and Gundog Journal. ## Gundog Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/57/cf/6c/57cf6cc8-aff2-8d7c-46c0-6f1fe06b5048/iPhone_16_-_1.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/2f/a9/a9/2fa9a94e-71e5-198b-8631-5d7623edd922/iPhone_16_-_2.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource221/v4/a1/c9/44/a1c94432-656b-7a60-0bc0-4f3b37b42365/iPhone_16_-_3.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/41/b4/24/41b4247c-f78e-a870-233e-db3a7553c46c/iPhone_16_-_4.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 5](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/eb/97/5c/eb975c07-8812-efab-ca08-8fe446ed4b79/iPhone_16_-_5.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 6](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/1f/4a/08/1f4a081e-1230-d484-d0cb-15464c600f76/iPhone_16_-_6.png/1320x2868.png) - [Screenshot 7](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource211/v4/60/e0/75/60e07523-1cce-5714-1ba7-0cdd398320df/iPhone_16_-_7.png/1320x2868.png) ## Gundog Rating Breakdown in United Kingdom - 5 stars: 57 (70%) - 4 stars: 3 (4%) - 3 stars: 3 (4%) - 2 stars: 3 (4%) - 1 stars: 15 (19%) ## Gundog Reviews in United Kingdom ### *---- "Would not recommend" I would strongly avoid this app. The gun dog training content mainly consists of videos showing dogs that are already/almost fully trained, and you can find thousands of almost identical videos for free on YouTube. The app may work if your dog already responds perfectly and behaves as expected, but it offers very little real guidance or support for dogs that struggle, react differently, or need genuine training help. I originally purchased the app to use alongside one to one training, but after downloading it, Ben never followed up regarding the training I was prepared to pay extra for. To make matters worse, I believed the six month payment was a one off purchase for six months of access, but it renewed automatically without any clear reminder or proper notice. Overall, I feel very disappointed with both the service and the value for money. Customer service also didn’t respond to me about the auto renewal I had no notice of. Don’t waist your money, Everything on here u can watch for free on YouTube -- Jason Myles 123, 2026-05-12 ### ***-- "Slow to Access / Content needs Improvement" The videos are frustratingly slow to download or play. While the content could be good, the videos are fragments of clips rather than throughly thought out modules and therefore big gaps in the arc of instruction. The creators have plenty of knowledge of instructing dogs, but could package their videos in a more thoughtful and longer format approach to share their knowledge rather than what feels like a YouTube short. -- americanEnglish, 2025-07-17 ### ***** "Simply The Best" To truly master any dog training you don’t learn how to train a Dog! Steve (3 Year subscriber and still loving it) -- Daleyetta, 2025-07-12 ### ***** "Gundog Training" Gundog App is a total game changer if you want to train your dogs be it simply on foundations to have a well behaved Pet or take your dog to the shooting arena or take them for field trials! This is a whole package where you get a step by step process on how to train your dog with so many videos from the champion Master trainer Ben Randall. This app has changed our life completely and makes it pleasurable with our 6 Cocker Spaniels in their behaviour, their work ethic, their bond with us, their listening ability and much more. In order to have a dog listen to you, you need to make them the best companion for yourself at home and outside and this app just gives you all the tools to achieve that! We would recommend anyone looking for tools to train your dogs to look no further! -- Xxyyxxyyzz1256, 2025-07-11 ### *---- "Have paid but can’t access" I’ve been subscribed to the app for a while and not had issues before but recently I have not been able to access the videos even though I am continuing to pay a monthly subscription (not cheap) I have tried contacting through the tech support form twice now but no response. I can’t find another way to contact them which is extremely frustrating and disappointing. -- CAGUILAR24, 2024-11-18 ### ***** "Wish I got the app sooner!" Fantastic resources even for complete novices like myself. Lots of inspiring ways to make training fun for you and your pup! Excited to see what the community support page brings. Would love to see resources/more examples of these techniques used on dogs that haven’t been exposed to these methods from a pup. -- PF_93, 2024-10-01 ### ***** "100% recommend!" The Gundog app is a fantastic resource for both novice and experienced dog owners with over 300+ videos breaking down the different components of training. The monthly webinars are really beneficial where there’s no such thing as stupid question! If you’re looking to improve your training, or you’re picking your pup up then I would recommend the Gundog App! -- Nicola 🥂, 2024-09-30 ### ***** "Must have resource for any trainer and dog" With over 300 videos how can you go wrong? The best dog training resource there is out there. It doesn’t matter the age of your dog or the breed of you dog, this app is for EVERYONE. It literally is a life changer -- carlalag, 2024-09-30 ### ***** "Run your own race with this amazing app….." The Gundog app has been an absolute game changer for training my cocker spaniels! It provides clear, step-by-step guidance that’s easy to follow, making the training process smooth and enjoyable for both me and my dogs. The app covers everything from foundations to advanced gundog techniques, and the video tutorials are incredibly helpful. I love that I can track progress and tailor the training to their specific needs. I am now out 6 days a week picking up thanks to the app. Highly recommend to any dog owner! Thanks Ben and Kristian for the amazing support and service .⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -- Conway cockers, 2024-09-29 ### ***** "Proven Methods = Results" This is by far the easiest, most productive way to train your gundog or any dog. We train our dogs with it daily and haven’t used anything else. The bond and progress this app enables you to have with your dog is insane. The positive methods are simple, reliable and take the complexity out of other traditional methods. With dedication from you, the 300+ videos and 100’s of hours of webinar content enable you to progress much more smoothly than limiting yourself to periodic lessons.
