I love Gwent!!! Yes this version has some differences then the mini game inside the Witcher but almost makes it better if you like deck building and using combos to your advantage you’ll enjoy some Gwent. Toss your coin to a game of GWENT.

I was looking for a traditional Gwent game and this is NOT it. The gameplay is not fun and the new additions they have added to the game like your “special abilities” are garbage. This should be a top tier card game but it’s below the bottom rung because the developers ruined the original experience of the game. Beyond disappointed.

I was looking for a mobile version of the Gwent game as it exists in Witcher 3. This is not it, despite the name. The decks, board, and gameplay are too different. The game itself suffers from over-design and unnecessary complication. While I respect how much talent and effort went into it, the whole point of a mobile app is to have a light weight, mobile friendly option. This game is so heavy on graphics that it drains battery rapidly, and it’s hard to make sense of your cards and board at any given time. I didn’t even complete the tutorial before deciding this was not what I wanted. Still, they’d made me create an account to even do the tutorial, and it turns out you have to contact Support to delete an account. Any product that doesn’t support easy self-serve account deletion is a big red-flag for me. I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone wanting to just casually pick up a round of Gwent.

This game is an unbalanced piece of trash. It’s fun for the first few hands and once you get past the starter deck it’s fun to build you hand and play against harder players, but once you start to get into the higher ranks it becomes clear the only way you’ll be able to progress is by buying card packs. Right around rank 20 you hit a wall were you’re going to lose every game because your opponents all have cards that are broken. Like it is insane going round after round where you can’t even win one hand. Don’t waste your time on this trash game.

After reading other reviews:
I feel more justified in my review. Horrible money grab by greedy, unimaginative developers.
Do yourself a favor and pass this game up unless spending money against people excites you.

It’s more disappointing because of the wasted opportunity. The developers of this game had a golden opportunity to ride the coattails of someone else’s greatness to build a game that could appeal to not only fans of the Witcher, but card/deck building games. This opportunity was wasted for greed. There is no possibility of competing with other players that use the power of cash and credit cards. You will immediately be at a game-breaking disadvantage if you don’t shell out cash. They weren’t even willing to disguise it with the difficulty spike once the tutorial is over. It’s a bummer because of the potential, but there’s a lot of other content out there from ethical developers, so fortunately was only a bit of wasted time to revisit and delete again. The visuals are nice at least.

### *---- "Not the gwent that I loved in witcher"
Started playing this a month ago because I love gwent and the witcher however, I didn’t know what I was in for when playing this. Game crashes alot during the games especially when playing some players. Leads me to believe that some of the open source devs play and when they begin losing they crash the connection. Players are allowed to make infinite amounts of the same cards which causes power imbalances with the decks, certain factions have broken abilities that create handicaps meaning players with these factions are not likely to lose even with a well built deck. Ive played several games in a row where players use the same strategies such as endless bleeding or summoning of the same cards throughout their deck. Its a boring experience at best. I would only play as a time filler in between traveling or at a rest stop. Stick to the ingame witcher gwent for a better experience.

Ive played 4 years of Trent and so far I’ve gotten all of the cards spending no money and made it to pro a couple times. I recommend watching twitch streams for card combos over YouTube just my preference. 

F2P don’t worry just spend what you want you will always have more goodies! 

To my WHALES 🐋 basically end game is all of your cards are premium and animated. Plus the game boards and card backs. 

The meta changes aren’t too harsh and I love the new content bot it has truly helped ALOT of old cards I love come back strong. 

Hopefully playing Gwent in 2030 <3
