Gymatic (a.k.a VimoFit) is the first and only app to automatically identify your exercises, count your repetitions, and log your workouts. What is more, it auto tracks many stats no human can track. Bring science to your workout!
Our mind-blowing technology has been featured on AOL, Mashable, TechCrunch, Huffington Post, and more…
- Gymatic not only auto log exercises and count reps, it also collect many advanced stats for each set, such as
* Heart rate (average and max) (only when using Apple Watch)
* Rest and work time (work time only starts when you move, rest time starts as soon as movement ends. No need to mess with timer when you need to rest after a set, it is all automatic.)
* Velocity
* Power
* Tempo
* Rep speed
* Form consistency
* Range consistency
* Speed consistency
- Connect with Apple Health app to read heart rate and contribute to activity rings.
- Get more accurate calories burned feedback then with typical fitness trackers because Gymatic knows EXACTLY which exercises you’re performing!
- It takes just 3 seconds to train any new exercise so there’s no limit to how many exercises Gymatic can track.
- Gymatic tracks your Crossfit, bodybuilding, weightlifting, strength training, HIIT workouts, TRX training, kettlebell training, calisthenics, machine exercises, and much much more!
- Stay motivated with remarkable progress tracking including 1 rep max estimates, calories burned and all advanced stats.
- Support both FreeForm mode, where you can perform any exercises, and Guided mode, where Watch/Phone guides you through a pre-programmed workout.
- Many workouts are included + unlimited workouts shared by the community.
- Track your indoor cardio and accurately count calories for running, cycling, rowing, elliptical, and stair stepper.
- Track your swim and count your strokes.
Tips:
- Wear your watch just a little higher on your wrist than usual. (above the bone)
- Tighten the watch on your wrist. (just snug, not a death grip)
- Want to track Leg Press? Strap phone to your leg. Or keep hands on your leg to move along.

Gymatic Workout Tracker Reviews

Just not good enough

Eddy Vischer on

I thought I found the perfect app for tracking my strength workouts. After trying premium (paid) for a month, I find out that this is not worth its money. I had set that after a month I would subscribe for a year, but I have already canceled it. The automatic detection of exercises is a nice theory, but often does not work in practice. Afterwards you are still messing around with adjusting exercises or repetitions. You can also adjust this afterwards (I work with the apple watch), but this often freezes the app. One of the biggest frustrations is that you can not enter a weight behind the decimal point. Something as simple as entering 17.5kg for a dumbell workout just doesn't work. 17 you can enter but the comma sign does not work. I have already indicated this to customer service a while ago, but have not yet received a response. Great was also my surprise when I found out that with the paid subscription you are not there yet. If you want to see instructional videos of your selected workout, you have to pay extra for a Bodyfit subscription. Finally, the lack of a web-based option for viewing your workouts and adjusting / creating training courses is very great. I don't mind paying for an app, but then the basics have to be done. Especially the tip of the decimal point should just be done in a paid app.

Love the app!

This app is great. I use it everyday. Love the planning ability, the timer sets etc. I would love to purchase it to premium but I have one thing I want to ask the developers. Is it possible to make this app also compatible for the garmin vivoactive HR watch. Because I would love to track more and get more data out of my training.

Okay, not amazing

The app is pretty good. Some issues. Latest update makes it so you can’t accurately note how much weight you used. There’s no option to add numbers behind the decimal. Not cool if you’re tracking smaller muscle groups. Sync with Apple Watch isn’t very accurate. But it is very handy when you have a training schedule and are looking for an app where you can upload it and keep track. Hope they fix the issue with the weights!

Prima app voor fitness oefeningen

Goede app, goed trainingen samen te stellen en kunnen dan ook via de Apple watch worden uitgevoerd. Registratie werkt (meestal) goed. Tevreden.

A free trial, after that subscription calore

Look like a nice app, I. Saved for my Apple Watch took a long, long time. Monthly fees are driving me nuts, I save and buy, that way I’m in control of my monthly spending, all this subscription based software is making my monthly overhead to large. Makes me very nervous about losing my income, house, car, wife, kids, job or health. Saving and than buying is a much saver way to go. Make the app $300 and I will save, make my monthly overhead grow and I will pass on the app!

Perfect

inconsistent motion tracking

Jaco105 on

This app is supposed to make my workouts more convenient, but it has the opposite effect. I am constantly interrupting my workout to fuss with my Apple Watch because it’s not tracking my reps. For example, I did 5 squats, but it only logged 3. Very annoying. The app does not seem to give me rest time between reps, even though I have rest times set up in the workout. There are a good selection of workouts in the library, but you have to sign up with another service in order to see a video of how to perform each exercise. Another inconvenience since there are dozens of variations of squats, for example, and it’s quite time consuming to find the one I want.

Great app for tracking your workouts

I’ve been using Gymatic for years and it is the only app that I would recommend for tracking your weight workouts. It allows you to teach the app what exercise you are doing and even learns some on it’s own. Very happy with this app.

Watch app won’t work

Scary_Jerry on

I was really intrigued with this app seeing that it can track reps and velocity through the app on the watch, but that never happened because the app won’t install on my watch. Gone through all troubleshooting and other apps work, this one won’t download.
