Habitify is one of the best habit trackers available. It syncs with Apple Health, allows editing on both a computer and a phone, and enables sharing habits with an accountability buddy. The app offers flexibility to track various types of habits, including minutes and times, and features a built-in timer for time-based habits. Additionally, it allows you to set a prior date as the start date and backfill the achievement of the habit, a feature many habit trackers lack. However, there are some drawbacks. Apple Health habits can't be tracked for a full year; after six months, tracking stops, requiring you to archive the habit and start over. The app also frequently logs activities like meditation for 10 minutes but doesn't mark the habit as complete. To resolve this, you need to manually add extra time in Apple Health. Despite contacting support, they only explain the app's limitations without offering a solution.
I think for the free version, three habits is reasonable. The problem for me is that I can’t check into those habits more than 15 times a week. It doesn’t make sense to me and really messes with my experience of the app. Rather than that, I love it.
The app is awesome! The only reason I wont give it a 5 star is because they don’t let you choose a monthly subscription through the app. It says online that it is only possible through the desktop browser which doesn’t make any sense. I want it to be through the app and not be forced to pay for a year.
The Apple Health “automatic” logging habits often do not update when Apple Health has logged data and you can’t even manually log the habit. Not to mention, that you have to choose from a select few habits to add Apple health logging and can’t make your own habit and have it sync. The level of Apple Health integration is pitiful in comparison to the amount of health metrics that Apple Health offers. I would love for habits like taking my blood pressure to sync to Habitify when I have logged it in the Health app. TLDR: Don’t pay for this app if you want rich Apple Health integration, look to something like Streaks which is excellent.
After a year of using this app I can honestly say it’s one of the most important apps on my phone. I get a lot of value from it. Use it to track my daily meditation habit, my daily reading habit, and the time I spend learning to code. Built-in Pomodoro timer is a nice touch. Being able to run reports and see my data is great.
This app is a pleasure to use! It has a modern design and a minimalistic, user-friendly interface that makes tracking habits very simple. It's the only habit-tracking app I've been able to use consistently. Can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a hassle-free way to monitor your habits.
Easy to use & very helpful!
You can only make three goals until you have to start paying 30 dollars!! Wasted all that time making three goals just to see a huge promotion ad to pay for their monthly 30 dollar subscription.
The “free” version is definitely just bait for premium. It’s not worth the frustration. The app sent me notifications to check in, then wouldn’t let me unless I upgraded. I just deleted it.
