The whole story is fully voiced in Japanese by popular voice actors, and the beautiful illustrations have been perfectly ported from the PSP version! This work was the basis for the series' culmination, "Hakuoki Shinkai" which released in 2015. The "Hakuoki" series started in 2008, and until "Hakuoki Shinkai" released, fan disks and anime have been created based on this game. You can play the origin story of "Hakuoki" along with the additional scenario, the "Tea ceremony event ". ■Story It is the end of the Edo Era, and the 3rd year of the Bunkyu Era... The protagonist, Chizuru Yukimura, was raised in Edo and is daughter to a Rangaku scholar. Having lost contact with her father in Kyoto, Chizuru decides to visit him. There, Chizuru witnesses a Shinsengumi soldier killing a bloodthirsty monster. By strange happenstance, Chizuru finds herself connected to the Shinsengumi, and the assassins desperate to kill them. As time progresses, Chizuru will discover their terrible secret.... Tortured by their own thoughts, the men of the Shinsengumi wield their blades in defense of their faith and ideals, in an era torn apart by chaos. Hidden in the riots that defined the passing of the Edo period, a dark battle within the Shinsengumi begins: A battle that will never be recorded in the pages of history... ■Tea ceremony event In February 1867, Chizuru is asked to attend a tea party on Kondo’s behalf. She accepts to go accompanied by the Shinsengumi warriors. What’s hidden behind that sudden invitation? What awaits her...? Find out by spending some sweet time with your favorite character! *This scenario can be enjoyed by purchasing the "Tea ceremony event". The problem is I can’t pay for the chapters and therefore can’t continue playing. I would really love to suggest that you find a way to make the game available to those who can’t pay for it like myself. If that happens I think more people would be willing to play this game. I personally hope for that because I really want to be able to continue playing and not have to delete this game because I really really like the story so far and would like nothing more than to be able to continue playing it. At the very least please consider this! -- Lillie Aether, 2024-11-15 ### ***-- "Uhm" Why do we need to pay for chapters.. 😰 -- nekocat123132, 2023-01-14 ### *---- "Where are my purchases?" I purchased chapter 1 and it’s not showing up in my app. I paid for it twice and I can’t play. -- Madisynleehernandez, 2020-12-01 ### *---- "App Won’t Load" I downloaded this game over a year ago, played through much of it, and loved it. I redownloaded it a few days ago to play it again and nothing happens. The screen goes black after the initial loading screen with Toshizo. I’ve tried deleting and redownloading but it still isn’t working. Just sad I can’t play. -- TeddiRae, 2020-09-30 ### ***** "I messed up" I accidentally bought this game while hooked up to my mothers credit card.... I live in fear every day, I should have confessed. It really was an accident, I’ve always tried to buy games just hoping it would go through with no money.... it worked, and then I remembered that my mom accidentally hooked up her account to my phone... I’ve been too scared to play the game... I’m sure it’s great, so 5 stars. -- sam._i_.am, 2019-10-20 ### *---- "Money" I don’t like how the game is free and you have to pay for all the episodes -- nickname 40056, 2019-01-10 ### ****- "I own it on 3DS" It's a pretty good game. I own it on 3DS though, so paying for content here vs already owning it...I prefer to own. -- Afriendfromanotherplanet, 2017-08-03 ### ****- ""Um."" Take a shot every time the main character says,"Um." -- NO PISTONS, 2017-05-20 ### ***** "I love it" I love it!! But why do we have to pay for it?? 😭😭 -- Jacs671, 2017-04-10 ### **--- "Black Screen and Crashing" I honestly would like to play this game, however the game always gives me a black screen after the introduction and then crashed about 6 seconds later. I simply can't give it a good review if I can't play the game. -- GemSoul, 2016-10-22 [View all Hakuoki reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Hakuoki In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Common Route Chapter 1 | $3.79 | | Common Route Chapter 2 | $3.79 | | 【HAKUOKI】Common Route Chapter 3 | $3.79 | | 【HAKUOKI】Souji Okita Route Chapter 4 | $3.79 | | 【HAKUOKI】Souji Okita Route Chapter 5 | $3.79 | | 【HAKUOKI】Hajime Saito Route Chapter 4 | $3.79 | | 【HAKUOKI】Hajime Saito Route Chapter 5 | $3.79 | | 【HAKUOKI】Chikage Kazama Route Chapter 4 | $3.79 | | 【HAKUOKI】Toshizo Hijikata Route Chapter 4 | $3.79 | | 【HAKUOKI】Toshizo Hijikata Route Chapter 5 | $3.79 | ## Hakuoki Discovered Keywords - hakuoki ## Apps Similar to Hakuoki - [Ayakashi: Romance Reborn](https://apptail.io/app/ayakashi-romance-reborn-Whr/united-states) - [Bride Of The Nightmare](https://apptail.io/app/bride-of-the-nightmare-qaD/united-states) - [Ayakashi & Sweets | Otome Game](https://apptail.io/app/ayakashi-sweets-otome-game-NONb/united-states) - [Bride Of The Full Moon](https://apptail.io/app/bride-of-the-full-moon-gcOb/united-states) - [Love stories & Otome Games LOG](https://apptail.io/app/love-stories-otome-games-log-inbc/united-states) - [Mayday Memory: CHOICE SF Otome](https://apptail.io/app/mayday-memory-choice-sf-otome-kocd/united-states) - [Bride Of The Twilight](https://apptail.io/app/bride-of-the-twilight-qTgd/united-states) - [Princess of the Moon -Ultimate](https://apptail.io/app/princess-of-the-moon-ultimate-dnod/united-states) - [Ikemen Revolution: Otome Game](https://apptail.io/app/ikemen-revolution-otome-game-KnCd/united-states) - [Samurai Love Ballad: PARTY](https://apptail.io/app/samurai-love-ballad-party-AOTj/united-states) ## Hakuoki Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/hakuoki-KoFk/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/hakuoki-KoFk/canada) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
