HamClock

A handy clock for ham radio!

Published by: Ben Sinclair

Description

HamClock is a handy clock with features for amateur radio operators!
One screen shows your local time in 12H and 24H format along with UTC in large, easy to read text. If your location is available, your grid square, local sunrise and sunset are also displayed.
An interactive grid square map lets you find the grid square for any location, and displays the current gray line.
Flip to landscape mode for a larger UTC time display. Great for keeping track of things while operating.
On your watch, you can also quickly display your grid square and location.
HamClock is great for finding your grid square while traveling, or use it as a handy clock in your shack.

Simple. Perfect.

Local 12 hour time is stuck on 24 Hour Time

Hi Ben, Can you please fix the local 12 hour time so it reflects AM/PM and not 24 hour time? Thanks in advance! Trent/KN6MCR

Not the real ham click app!

Kinda worthless.

No UTC on Watch

Really? I bought this app to see UTC on the Apple Watch. But no, only grid squares.

Ok but not customizable

Ah8k on

No way to make the time larger, to hide the map portion, or to use it in landscape mode. I would like to set it up in landscape as a large UTC clock, with time remaining on the screen after the phone goes to “sleep” but it doesn’t support this.

Nice App

I really like this app! Love the grid square feature. Would love to be able to see UTC time on my Apple Watch, not just the grid square.

Basic and Useful

I love this app. I often just use it to get the time but for ham radio operating it’s an easy way to get UTC. (Sometimes I get confused about the time shift due to daylight saving time and Ham Clock always has it right.) It is also great for checking grid locator.

Perfect - no clutter or overkill

Thanks for this wonderful app that puts the time formats I need in easy, clear view. Excellent for mobile monitoring trips or just on screen in my station for logs. Thanks!

Great app for field use

App works great and love having it. I use it when portable and in field. Good job Ben!

Very useful app

I find this app to be invaluable when operating in the field. The user interface is very “clean” and easy to read when glancing at the phone. The new grid square feature and map is interesting but without a text search feature for addresses it’s of minimal value. I’d ask that the GPS coordinates field be restored. I frequently used the GPS coordinates to enter my location data on other apps or during web searches.
