A fully offline Vietnamese-Chinese (Han-Nom) dictionary with stroke order animations, OCR character recognition, handwriting input, and Chinese-Vietnamese translation. Designed for students, researchers, calligraphy enthusiasts, and anyone interested in Han-Nom characters.

KEY FEATURES

• Han-Viet Lookup: Search by Chinese character or Han-Viet romanization. Comprehensive database with tens of thousands of entries including meanings, pronunciations, and compound words.

• Animated Stroke Order: Watch each stroke drawn in correct order on a traditional 米字格 (mizigé) practice grid. Master proper writing technique step by step.

• Image OCR: Recognize Chinese characters from photos of books, signs, calligraphy, or handwritten notes. Capture with the camera or pick from your photo library — recognition runs entirely on-device.

• Handwriting Recognition: Draw a character on screen for instant recognition — useful when you remember the shape but not the reading. Powered by Google ML Kit, runs offline.

• Offline Translation: Chinese ↔ Vietnamese translation via on-device ML Kit. Language model downloads once, then works fully offline forever.

• Pronunciation: Built-in TTS for Mandarin Chinese and Vietnamese. Hear the proper pronunciation of any character or word.

• Favorites & History: Save characters for later review. Search history is automatically tracked so you can quickly return to recent lookups.

• Daily Tips & Daily Character: Curated learning tips on pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. A new featured character every day on the home screen.

EDITORIAL DESIGN

Inspired by traditional Han-Nom dictionaries printed on rice paper — cream paper background, soft black ink, vermilion seal accents (印章), hairline ochre rules, and italic small-caps labels. A genuine alternative to standard Material design dictionary apps that feels like holding a real reference book.
