Happy Coder is the secure mobile companion for Codex and Claude Code that lets you continue your AI coding sessions anywhere (not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI). Built by developers who needed to check on their AI assistant's progress during coffee breaks, this app brings the full Codex and Claude Code experience to your phone with military-grade encryption.

**Important**: This app requires Codex or Claude Code to be installed on your computer. Happy Coder is a companion app that connects to your existing Codex or Claude Code setup.

As you can see from my nickname, I really only do 5 or 1 star reviews when I leave written feedback. This one goes for 5. I know Claude launched remote controller Claude sessions. I’ve tried it. It’s not close to this. At least not yet. The DX and the amount of things you can set your workflow up to do and leverage Happy is absolutely cracked. And the mobile app experience is incredibly user friendly being able to intuitively take the Claude/codex response context and auto suggest clickable response options even outside of the ones Claude itself asks (I think). Please keep this app going for as long as possible.

Loving this app. When using a happy codex terminal on my mac, the happy permissions prompt that is green/blue/red for yes/ yes for session / no, clicking them is non responsive and so I have to use yolo modes otherwise I get stuck at the permissions prompt and have to ctrl+c each time one pops up and start a new happy codex

I have been tempting in to my pc to use CLI when not at my desk. Being able to vibe code when not at my desk allows me to do other things while my RAG Agent works on my phased development tasks of the day. I usually check in periodically, but this app is a game changer. Real time chat. Hooks embedded to provide basic prompt responds to keep Claude running with simple task that are actually good. It’s like having ChatGPT for CLI. I also love being able to manage multiple CLIs and projects at the same time! And now I don’t stare at my screen watching it work. With iPhone notifications I get a quick reminder, can check what’s next and tell it what I the boss man wants and my little agent worker bees go back to work.
