HappyCow - Vegan Food Near You

Vegáknak, vegánoknak, biotermék keresőknek nagyon hasznos applikáció. Prágában fantasztikus helyeket tudtam vele kipróbálni, de már Magyarországról is egyre több hely regisztrál az applikációban. Külföldre utazáskor mindenképp érdemes böngészni, az itthoni helyeket meg bíztatni kell, hogy tegyél fel magukat a HappyCow palettájára is.

Fizetős apphoz képest lenne mit fejlődni. Nem tudom beállítani, hogy fogadnak e kutyàt. Pesten több hely nincs rajta, Pozsonyban volt olyan, ahova elmentünk és már nem volt ott. Most itt ülök a Stuttgarti reptéren, beàllitottam hogy stuttgart (hogy ne a körülöttem levőket mutassa), de a 4. hely amit kidob, Ludwigsburgban van.

I have been using the app for two months now and tried in 3 countries so far. It was a great help for me to pick a dining spot while I was on the go. I like the filters (vegan, vegetarian, etc.). I like the idea that fellow vegans help each other out by giving detailed reviews. I hope more and more restaurants and eating out places will appear on HappyCow and let the world know about their vegan options.

When you are as a vegan traveling around it's the most helpful thing to find suitable restaurants close to you but even when you are at home it helps you to discover new veg-friendly places.

Fantastic smoothies, breakfast and lunch meals to satisfy vegans and non vegans. Owner Brittany is very friendly and made our meal fresh in front of us. Fresh whole food ingredients in a relaxed environment. Will definitely be back!

Handy for travel, but clunky to navigate and cumbersome to update. Restaurant descriptions tend to downplay places that aren’t 100% veg, e.g., Asian or Middle Eastern eateries that might actually have better veg options than an all-vegan spot right next door. Ratings are also skewed due to limits on places that serve meat, and there’s a stated “4-to-6-week” lag in entering a new place because all listings must be vetted by Happy Cow central command rather than users. Not great for an app that I actually paid for, but still easier to use than Happy Cow’s litany of listings on the web.

Great for vegans and vegetarians who travel or just want some good new local options to try.

Poor UX design, especially when moving the map somewhere you’re not currently located

I use this app extensively on my iphone, it's excellent and has proved to be a great resource, local and aboard. however, on ipad, i'm perplexed as to why the developer would eschew from adding landscape support. for that, i'm knocking off two stars. why would i want to use this application in portrait mode when I dock my ipad on a magic keyboard? please add ipad landscape support. don't assume that people use their ipad the same way they use their iphone. thanks.
