## Harry's LapTimer Rookie Description
Harry's LapTimer is the advanced tool for car enthusiast. It records all types of sensor data provided by your iPhone/iPod/iPad (or external sensors), combines them, and makes them available to optimize your drive. Over time, you will get insights on your car and in your driving, not known before.

LapTimer offers more than 1300 predefined tracks world wide. With its assistants, it is extremely easy to setup - just click your track and drive. It fully automates your lap timing using GPS, and presents the results to all kinds of media.

You are not limited to track driving only. For example, you may define your home and working locations as a 'track', collect statistics on different ways chosen, and analyze / optimize the time used every day. 

Want to show your drive to your friends? LapTimer Petrolhead and above generates beautiful in car video recordings with all kinds of data overlaid, ready to be presented - e.g. on youtube. Even without video, recorded data can be analyzed using purpose designed views, making it easy to analyze and improve your driving performance.

Using online racing, you can use LapTimer in competition. LapTimer offers a Hall of Fame, allows watching you and your friends on track - all in real time. Compare your sector times, braking / acceleration points, and learn from each other. 

You can start with your plain iPhone in the beginning and add external GPS and OBD II sensors later, step by step, and as you need it. LapTimer itself comes in three different editions: LapTimer Rookie is the entry level with all you need for lap timing; LapTimer Petrolhead is the advanced version including lots of video features, and LapTimer Grand Prix is the edition for professionals including Multi Cam recording, Health Kit integration, and advanced sensor and analytics functionality.

Super App! Ich benutze sie auf der Nordschleife und bin sehr zufrieden was man für 10 Euro kriegt 👍🏻 erstmals ist es etwas schwer rein zu finden aber wenn man drin ist einfach nur super!

Der Entwickler, Herr Schlangmann, reagierte sofort mit einer Mail( innerhalb 45min!!!) bei Problemen die ich hier oben in Finnland hatte.
Problem derzeit gelöst. Die App startete die Zeitnahme nicht...

Ich habe in der Administration die Funktion Datenbank überprüfen ausführen wollen. Dabei stürzte die App ab. Nun stürzt sie direkt beim Starten ab.

### *---- "Absoluter Fehlkauf"
Funktioniert leider nur sehr selten. 
Es sollte so sein, dass der LapTimer „bereit“ ist und automatisch anfängt zu zählen. 
Obwohl das Handy fest in einer Halterung ist und mit Strom versorgt wird (das setzt die App voraus) schafft es die App nicht automatisch zu starten. 
Habe es jetzt nach mehreren Enttäuschungen deinstalliert und werde etwas anderes ausprobieren.

Ich habe die App auf GrandPrix aufgewertet um alle Funktionen nutzen zu können. Schade, dass ich nicht vorhergewusst hatte, was der Unterschied ist, denn dann hätte ich direkt die GrandPrix gekauft und noch was gespart...
Die App selbst ist nicht ganz übersichtlich, denn das eine oder andere an Funktion zu finden ist nicht ganz leicht und nachvollziehbar. Zudem kommt es immer mal wieder beim Menüwechsel zu Abstürzen, was die App zwar doof aussehen lässt, aber der Leistung kein Abbruch tut.

Die Messung 0-100km/h ist ganz gut und lässt auch 50-80; 100-200; etc. wie auch immer frei wählen! Die Werksangabe von meinem Kfz erreiche ich ganz gut und find ich auch nachvollziehbar.

Die Unterstützung für ein GPS-Reciever funktioniert in meinem Fall, bisher, ganz gut.

Mit so einem Gerät, lassen sich im übrigen erst die gut Messungen erzielen...!!!

Der OBD2, der ich mir gekauft habe steht nicht in der Liste von Harry, ... und funktioniert leider nicht. Der Kiwi3 der bald kommt hoffentlich schon... werd ich noch nachtragen.

Ich bin (fast) zufrieden!

### ***** "Der beste Laptimer"
Ich benutzte die Rookie-Version seit längerer Zeit und bin voll zufrieden. Bewundernswert, mit welcher Akribie sich Herr Schlangmann um seine Kreationen kümmert. Immer wieder kommen neue Updates mit Verbesserungen, die den Nutzen erhöhen. Nicht zuletzt zu erwähnen, der vorbildliche und schnelle Support. Toller Web-Auftritt, hilfreiche Manuals, allerdings sollte man über gute Englischkenntnisse verfügen. 
Kürzlich habe ich auf "Petrolhead" upgegradet.
 Demnächst werde ich den letzten Schritt zur GrandPrix-Version, der Multcam-Unterstützung wegen, vornehmen.
Danke für die tolle App. Ich hoffe, dass uns Herr Schlangmamm noch lange Zeit weiter schöne Updates zur Verfügung stellt.

Die App ist zumindest auf kleinen Rennstrecken (Kartbahn) nicht zu gebrauchen.
Dort werden die Rundenzeiten total falsch angezeigt. 

Zudem ist die Bedienung sehr umständlich.

Fazit: Rausgeschmissenes Geld.

Kurze präzise Beschreibung ! 2 Std mit dem laptimer beschäftigt und er läuft  perfekt ! 
Platzierung beachten und für guten GPS Empfang sorgen,  dann wird alles gut ! 
Einfach geil und super viel Spaß und Info für einen fairen Preis !

### ***** "funktioniert super, macht was es soll und kann mehr als man erwartet."
Die APP ist für den hobbybereich gedacht, was aber dazu führt das man sie unterschätzt. Sie ist sehr mächtig und kann zunächst mehr als man erwartet. Daher ist eine kleine einarbeitungszeit nötig. Bitte unbedingt vor dem ersten ernsthaften Einsatz einmal durchprobieren. 
Das lohnt sich allerdings sehr. Die APP funktioniert bestens. Man kann sie sowohl im STVO-land, als auch auf dem Übungsplatz (oder Rennstrecke) gut nutzen. 
Man kann an rundenzeiten interessiert sein und bekommet diese geliefert. (gemeinsam mit haufenweise anderer details)
Man kann aber auch eine gemeinsame ausfahrt aufzeichnen und die Strecke später auf einer Landkarte nochmals betrachten.
Man kann filme aufzeichnen bei denen Geschwindigkeit und G-kraefte eingeblendet werden.

Es gibt einen sehr guten deutschen support.
Die APP wird ständig weiterentwickelt und angepasst, auf wünsche und fragen wird reagiert.

Ich bin schlichtweg begeistert!
