We used to spend the night at Walmart or a truck stop. Harvest Host makes finding a place to stay easy. We’ve had some great hosts too! Always a nice quiet, safe place to get a great night sleep without worrying. Highly recommend! Well worth the cost!
Can’t even see details of what’s available without paying for app.
Not worth it unless you want to hop vineyards nightly and buy a bottle of wine every time. Most places only allow for a nights stay. Can not book same day. Must plan in advance. Found the app to be glitchy. Did not meet expectations.
I want to start off by saying this is a rating of the App, not the membership. I love Harvest Hosts, I love Boondockers Welcome. I was not a fan when they joined, but can live with it. I would still highly recommend memberships to both. As for apps, Boondockers Welcome had a great app. Harvest Host’s app was never as good. Combining meant we lost the good one. Harvest Hosts has had over a year to make their app better and they still haven’t done it. I am so tired of putting in my rig length and type over and over. Please fix this. Also, more detail about electric. We mostly use Boondockers Welcome because we prefer a 30 amp hookup (and are happy to donate whatever is asked for it). We end up having to read though every detail of listing searching because even an available 110 outlet can be listed under electric available. Also some Harvest Hosts are starting to have have some electric available, but that is not searchable at all.
This app is the best and easy to navigate software I have experienced. It also reminds me the upcoming dates of the host’s stay. Better than any camping software I know. Thanks HH.
Booked 2 stays in the first 24 hours
So far we love Harvest Host and Boondockers Welcome. Staying at HH and BW frequently gets us off the highway and let’s us explore places we otherwise would never have a chance to get to. Our hosts have always been warm and friendly.
Interesting people and places. Great to see and visit with private individuals willing to accommodate strangers!
We joined Harvest Host a couple years ago and thought we’d try it out. We absolutely love being able to pick different places to stay around the country while traveling! Some we have all to ourselves and others we don’t but it’s great meeting and talking with the other people belonging to Harvest Host and the different business/home owners where we stay. We would definitely recommend giving Harvest Host a try!
1st time using HH. Great experience.
