My child’s sleep was so good on the first Hatch and now her entire routine is messed up because this new Hatch won’t stay on. First the morning alarm with one of the bird songs stopped going off in the morning. Switched it to bells and that one works fine. Now at night it plays 2 seconds of sea waves before just stopping all together—but the light in that phase stays on. It used to have an occasional skip where it would start back up after a glitchy few seconds but now it just doesn’t play sound at all after the initial few seconds. Calming ocean also stopped working, as well as the beach one and several of the white noises. It seems all of the relaxing ocean themed sounds are broken except sea wind, which is loud wind. Eventually I found the one with Maine sounds still works but that one mixes relaxing wave sounds with boat engines and screaming birds a few minutes in. lol. I’ve tried their FAQ which ultimately suggests I buy a new cord, but if a new cord was needed wouldn’t there be an issue with all sounds? I’ve tried deleting my routine and creating a new one and still get the glitch with most of the free sounds. I’ve also hard and soft reset the device. I was already frustrated at the cost of the device and then the exorbitant cost of the subscription on top of it , which mentions new sounds are being frequently added but there has been no new content in years at least in the version of the app I have for the restore. It now appears that if the network name or password has special characters, that it is unable to connect to it through the app. This is a huge problem, as my WiFi password will absolutely have special characters to enhance security. I was able to connect to the 2nd gen hatch up until the last 2 weeks and can no longer update the schedule for sound or light. Please fix this so that we don’t have to sacrifice security of our network to be able to use the product. I would prefer to have the old version of the app back, but after inquiring they informed me that they cannot restore my old version. After the update, you lose SO MANY SOUNDS. The app feels so limited - I spent a lot of money on the Hatch. Before it seemed like a good purchase considering how many amazing sounds you got with the app…now, however, I only get line 8 free sounds (sounds that aren’t even good or peaceful.) I am unsure what to do with this product now that the sounds I use to wake up are completely gone. The only use this device has for me is the light function. Please fix this Hatch. Added a2nd gen for a second bedroom….This one is awful. Hidden subscription capabilities in the app make create presets arduous. How about manually turn it on at night and manually turn it off when you’re up? Simple. This adjustment is a microcosm of the current business environment as a whole.
