The Haunted Hotel series is my newest favorite HOP game. By far! I think I’m late to the party here, but these games are soooo fun! They are creepy, and I LOVE creepy! The crazy ghosts whose limbs move in impossible directions and the random screaming of some lady always scares me and I love it! Lol. The graphics are supreme, the story line is fun, the puzzles are sometimes hard, and the hint system is amazing. One of the games wouldn’t work on my iPad, Haunted Hotel 15: Alexander Valentine, but other than that, zero complaints, just praise. One of THE best series out there. I tried tapping everywhere and nothing worked. I went on YouTube and got confirmation of the correct location of this item, but when I tapped on it, the closeup of the rocks where it’s supposed to be hidden wouldn’t open. I even tried closing and reopening the game. Unfortunately, it was impossible to finish the game without this item and I didn’t want to start over at that point. I didn’t see anyone else having this issue reported. For example I’d be playing HOP game or clicking on scenes & it would freeze. The HO scenes were boring, and most of the puzzles/games were either overly simplistic, of the rotational genre, or quite ordinary. At least there was a maze. However, the actual gameplay was fairly enjoyable. The graphics were blurry and lacked visual acuity. This game was extremely short, inclusive of the bonus adventure. What I did notice was that there were elements of this game that were reminiscent of Mad Head. The creepy little girl, the maniacal clown, and the spider-like giant creatures were all featured in games developed by Mad Head. The storyline was even similar. Horror is not my favorite sub-genre, but I don’t mind if the game is excellent, which was not the case here. The game ran smoothly, without any flaws or glitches. My actual rating will be 3.5 stars, because I found this game only slightly better than average. I feel it didn’t merit the hefty price tag. I wish Elephant would give us another Detectives United or Surface. They also need to increase the length of their games.
