Hats off to the creators of such an amazing app. This is such an amazing way to bring people together who really enjoy urban exploring when I downloaded the app, I figured I’d take a chance at it and see what it was about and what I found was way more than I expected. I can’t wait to post some very awesome locations that I know and I hope that this app finds so many more people that have the passion to get out and appreciate the past and forgotten, the beautiful and the broken, and the travels less traveled. Seriously thank you creators!!! I hope this finds you one thing I think that you think about adding is a way to make a post board for comments and questions about the location not so much a way to contact the person who found the location but maybe a way to ask Q@A or offer a friendship because I’d love to meet up with some local explorers so I’m not going into some areas alone lol, Thank you your friend! -- JoeFerguson13, 2025-01-01 ### *---- "Won’t load" App seems awesome according to reviews but when I open it it just permanently sits on the “reconnecting” screen. The more places you explore, the more that you unlock and that’s a feature I haven’t found (that works so well) on any other app before. This should have existed years ago! The app is even so polished, and I hardly ever find issues with it since I’ve started using it. I really appreciate that other users can upload their own images and messages along with their exploration to let people know about the ins and outs of certain areas. I’ve already been to so many locations I didn’t even know existed in my area, and the community is really thriving in NYC. My only complaint would have to be (I’m assuming) that you have to upload your memos while you’re still by the building! I took my photos of the location, and it was only when I got home I realized I hadn’t uploaded any images to the location. I went all the way there and couldn’t get my points for it or upload the photos I took, so I might have to drive back at a later point just to get them. A bit of a bummer but that’s just a good thing to know prior to leaving the area. I understand it as it helps make sure people aren’t just uploading memos from previous Urbexing experiences and ensures that they’re actually visiting the location. Overall, an amazing app and gives so much freedom and leeway to the Urbexing community. I can see this being the reason a lot of people pick it up as a hobby, and probably will be the first Urbexing experience for newbies as a whole. Very cool. Please always continue to update this. Hi developer! I just got the app to check out places near me I may not know about. I don’t think there is a lot but the 20 locations it gave me when I made the account are thousands of miles away? I’m in the US, Idaho, and the locations are in Spain and Italy and can’t see any that are near me. Have I done something wrong? 😅 Update: the customer service is very quick and efficient! Usually I reject Urbex apps because they are clunky, inaccurate, and don’t have many locations with sufficient information. Heres what makes Haze great: •The app is sleek and clean with a great UI that doesn’t have too much clutter. •The dev is responsive and friendly •The locations have clear categories you can filter and also include points of interest which is great for quick stops during travel. •There is a built in Memo system that allows you to document your experiences in app and these memos can also be shared for others to see. •The map is very clear on what locations have yet to be confirmed and explored by others. •You can add your own locations that need to be approved and the process does not take very long. •Each location has “hazard indictors” (not sure what to call them). But essentialy there are icons that can be selected that show what to expect and what is recommended to bring. This system is very clean and easy to understand. Beyond this there are other quick indicators like difficulty as well as a description from the author of the location and personal experiences from memos. •The app requires account approval for use, and the locations are not reveled all at once and you must explore and contribute to reveal more. This promotes respect towards these locations and encourages participation and community. The only “issues” I have with this app are not issues that diminish its quality in my eyes. Just my personal ideas for what would Improve the app or things that could get better over time. •You cannot use the app offline in any capacity. Networking is like magic to me so I will not say what it should look like but it’d be nice to be able to write and save memos offline and upload them later. It would also be nice to save locations offline including other people’s memos so it can be referred to when searching for the location. This is important because a lot of places like this (especially out west) are in places with little to no network connection. I added a spot in the Logan canyon in Utah for example, once you enter the canyon it’s a dead zone until you leave. This could be overcome with better prep and physical maps and all that but it’d just be nice. •There aren’t a huge abundance of locations in some places(at least that I can see in the northwest.) But there are some very well known locations near me that are not on the map. I want to be so clear that THIS IS -- Taydoman, 2024-06-25 ### ***** "Best urbex app" Experimenting many apps just like this, this one stood out. The app is smooth, designed well and is fast. No other app contains the trust-based system like this one carries, and I’m heavily with it. You can add tips and warnings, and how “worth the trip” the location is, which is something most of the similar apps lack. And this all for a small amazing team that makes no profit whatsoever for this app; no adds, no pro membership, they give us the full experience without expecting anything in return. 5 stars all the way, definitely a must-have app for Urban explorers.
