Playing for 9 years. Absolutely lives up to its billing. Best digital CCG hands down. 

Not for casuals and free to play folk however. You will have to spend a fair bit of money in order to be competitive, close to 200 USD is bare minimum, without which you are only scratching the surface. That said, if you enjoy CCGs, it’s absolutely worth it.

Excellent, however the game size is now 4GB and 4GB more space is required for documents and data. It getting difficult to install frequent updates on a 32 GB iPad Shipley because the iPadOS is also taking around 8GB of space. I guess all these issue comes with the agile mode of development where software keeps growing little by little with each update. The game keep crashing during the match, usually when it your turn this results in loosing player turn and eventually one loose the game.

I’d recommend playing Battlegrounds on a PC and not much else. The number of times I’ve seen ‘Uh oh! Playful sprites have disrupted your connection!’ on the app is enough for several lifetimes.
