## HEARTshape Description
What does your pulse look like? Not just the number of beats it does per minute (i.e. the heart rate), but how does it behave? HEARTshape will let you see your heart in a whole new light!

HEARTshape measures your heart rate using your iPhone camera and flash. No need for a dedicated heart rate monitor!

HEARTshape gives you the possibility to see how blood flows through your finger with every heartbeat. How your heart rate changes - not minute by minute, but heartbeat by heartbeat. Changes to your heart rate will be displayed in an instant - with every new pulse!

HEARTshape will also show you how your heartbeats are distributed so that you can clearly see every time your heart skips a beat.

You should also take the opportunity to compare your heart rate to the general population. How does your resting heart rate measure up?

Features:
- Optical measurement of blood flow and detection of heartbeats using the built-in camera.
- Measurement of heart rate (beats per minute).
- Trend graph that shows how your heart rate changes with every heartbeat.
- Shows the variation of the beat to beat interval in realtime, i.e. the heart rate for each and every heartbeat.
- HealthKit integration to show you how your heart rate has changed over a longer period of time (enable in settings).
- Feel your heart beat! Using haptic feedback, you'll now be able to not only see but also feel your heart beats in real time. This feature requires iOS 13 and supported hardware (iPhone 8 and above).

## HEARTshape Reviews in United States

### *---- "It worked for several weeks fine"
It doesn’t work anymore. First it would do nothing when I open it. Now it make a squiggly line even if my finger is not on the camera and give no heat raté number.

### ***** "Jauja"

### ***-- "Mostly accurate, but more of a novelty than a medical tool."
My heart rate is high due to a medical condition and needs to be monitored every now and then for my safety. I’ve been looking for a way to reliably check my heart rate on the go, so I was curious about the efficiency of different mobile heart rate apps. I tested the app by recording my heart rate simultaneously with the app on my left hand and a blood pressure monitor on my right hand, taking around 10 readings with both of them for each mode. I wrote it down and did the math. I got a 92.7% accuracy rate for the “Continuous” mode, stopping it when the reading was complete on both hands. For the “Quick” mode, the accuracy rate was only 86.3%. TL;DR the quick mode is around 86% accurate and the continuous mode is around 93% accurate so take that as you will.

### ***-- "Trying to get answers to my questions but can’t figure out how to do so!"
How do I delete the list of my readings? Can I delete them? Why when my pulse is high I can’t get an actual reading , it just says can’t read finger is not on the camera?
-- Stormynik78, 2024-06-25

### ***-- "Very simplistic app, but works"
Can’t really complain. It does what it’s supposed to do. If you want more data, you’ll have to go to another app, but this one gives you a very simple view of your heart rate.
-- Trhump, 2024-06-22

### ***** "Nice"
Awesome app
-- curt the hurt73, 2024-05-15

### ***** "I love how I can listen to my heartbeat and see it"
I love how I’m able to listen to my heart! I also love how I can see my hearts Bpm the way my heart sounds is amazing
-- heartbeat89, 2024-03-15

### ***** "Actually free and works well"
This app is actually free. I wanted a simple app that measured heart rate, but besides this one they were all scammy subscription based apps. Thanks
-- trashapp8912, 2023-12-20

### ***-- "Needs better tutorial"
I think it would work well if there was just a straightforward tutorial showing where exactly to place your finger. Half the time it tells me it can’t get an accurate reading because of finger placement, but there is no info about where to place it exactly. I can move it around and get a few readings, but so far there is enough variation that I’m not sure which reading is the correct one. Guess I’ll keep trying….

### ***** "Great app"
Exxxxxccccceeeeeellllllnnntttttt app. No adds, fluff, or stuff you don’t need. Was using another app but found this one which is so much better. This one keeps a log of each pulse check which allows me to share with my doctor. Thanks for building a great app.
