## Helio Description
Will tonight’s sunset actually be worth it? Helio tells you before you go.

Helio uses real weather and an ML model to rate how good every sunrise and sunset will be at your exact location — on a clear, simple scale. No more guessing whether to grab your camera or just step outside.

What you get:
• Sunrise & sunset quality scores — every day, at a glance, for your exact location
• Built-in weather — see the conditions that shape the sky before you head out
• Multi-day forecasts — plan shoots, hikes, and trips around the best skies ahead
• Community Reports — real sky conditions from people near you, live on a map. Rate your own sunset to help everyone call the next one
• Top Predicted Spots — discover the places worldwide our model expects to have a genuinely great sky tonight (only the standouts make the list)
• Clean, fast design — the answer you need, none of the clutter

Whether you’re chasing golden hour for the perfect shot or just want to know if tonight’s sky is worth looking up for, Helio turns “maybe” into a plan.

Free to download. Upgrade to Helio Premium for extended, longer-range forecasts.

## Helio Reviews in United States

### *---- "Accuracy"
It wasn’t always accurate
-- loveyourself966, 2024-04-24

### *---- "worst app ever!"
Junk!!
-- Bob up and kiss my butt, 2024-02-23

### ***** "Great for filmmakers"
This app has become invaluable for planning film shoots. I never schedule a shoot day without checking helio first.
-- Timrap123, 2023-11-21

### ***** "The best"
This is the best Sunset app ever
-- Ajp20014, 2023-10-24

### *---- "Don’t bother"
This app promises a small amount of information and delivers less! It’s advertised to “never miss another sunset”. Not much, but in fact, it doesn’t even deliver that. Weather Channel gives me the sunrise and sunset time. I’m deleting this loser.
-- bobhhoy, 2022-07-22

### ***** "I love this app"
I love this app! It helps me know if the sunrise or sunset has good quality which is what I love the most. I also like how it doesn’t locate your location, you type in your location. I would recommend this app.
-- XReviewer4X, 2021-12-09

### ****- "Better at predicting than others"
At first I didn’t find this app impressive, however, it’s simplicity has certainly grown on me, and the accuracy of the predictions far outshines the competition, which makes it a valuable tool in my opinion! Thanks for your efforts!
-- shell642, 2021-06-04

### ***** "the design!!! but widgets please :-)"
as someone who was raised in tucson, arizona, i know how important the sun is and how beautiful golden hour can be. i’m so glad an app exists so that we can track it!! the design is a clean and simple and serves the exact purpose that i need. just waiting for a widget feature to be added 😏😏 it would also be nice if users could see a day ahead or behind (calendar feature almost? although unsure how far into the future the sun forecast goes). maybe also let us toggle between sunset or sunrise golden hour time, or let us see both on the same screen ✨ either way, great app, thank u developers + designers 💛
-- julestbh, 2020-11-20

### **--- "False negatives"
Way too many false negatives. I’ve used this for a good month every day and have never seen it predict a sunset as being beyond fair quality. That has not been the reality in the least.
-- Jadedgazelle, 2020-09-07

### ***** "Simple & Beautiful"
Cute simple app built for one purpose and one purpose only - never to never miss a sunset. I want to slap this right on my home screen always & forever if the devs can turn into a widget for ios14. Would live on the watch face too :)

Feature request - enable notifications and allow user to set a threshold in which to trigger a sunset warning. Aka over 85%, I must see this!
