Helios - Golden Hour Forecast

Works perfect. I wish the saved locations could be synced with iCloud between iPad and iPhone.

I am a professional portrait photographer and this app has helped me plan my photoshoots SO much. Seriously. I use it all the time during my photography season because the sun obviously changes so much during the year. I think I remember paying a cheap amount for this app a few years ago but it was totally worth it. Thankful!

As a amateur photographer i highly recommend this app to anyone getting into photography. And the built in light meter is excellent and comes in handy.

Don’t buy this app, it’s garbage. I thought it was a different version of an app I used to have which was extremely robust. But the lack of ability to pick a date, time, and location to get sun and moon arcs and path of travel makes it all but useless. Deleting. Wish I could get my money back. It’s not even worth 99¢.

i paid for this and i really like the way it shows the range of time for blue and golden hour. all i want is a small widget that shows the time ranges so i can have it on the top of my home screen above some other apps, and next to another widget

It needs a variable alarm! No, not a notification, but and actual alarm would be so helpful and nice! One that changes automatically with the times the sun rises or sets. THAT would be so awesome!

Before I start with the negatives, I have to say that this app is really useful. It gives accurate information about sunset, blue and gold hour, as well as a useful light meter for photographers. Despite this, it hasn’t been updated in awhile and it doesn’t work with iOS 13 dark mode and iOS 14 widgets. The AR mode is also broken, which really is a bummer. If you are ok with the fact that this app might never get another update, go for it. If not, spend your money on another app that has been updated to take advantage of your iPhone.

I used to be notified when Holden hour came and now it won’t let me and I don’t know why, help. :(

I love everything about the app and regularly use it to plan ahead or even day of for shoots. My only request would be if it’s possible to select a specific date for the map feature without having to hold the scroll bar. When planning for weddings or other similar shoots it’s helpful to know ahead of time where the sun will be throughout the day ahead of time when working with a set timeline.
