They will literally take your money whether or not you get service and tell you there’s nothing they can do for you just be very careful before you put in your information especially if your low income and already don’t have money they don’t care i’ve made a mistake so please don’t do the same and be very careful linking your crypto accounts and other accounts because they will again try to pull money from your accounts, even when you try to cancel and delete your information, they make it impossible there’s no options to delete your card on file. They’re running connected to my wifi under my account. They said their name was Vin or Von and they guided me through the process of setting up the account. When I told him I could not send my service over he became a little agitated. He asked me to ask my previous mobile service to lift the fraud alert. They would not do it and I’m actually glad because this person was not a helium service representative. They were talking to me through the helium app. I’ve requested a refund now because my account is no longer safe (that’s how I feel) I really wanted to have helium and had told a real service representative that I would keep my account open and would be back. I guess during that time my account was hacked. I still am confused how this person was able to pretend to be a representative inside the mobile app? Please contact me back asap thanks. Ps I downloaded the app and took all the necessary screenshots, but I refuse to login I also received a PIN code to my email which I didn’t request. At this point just close the account. I realized Helium Mobile was good in theory, but after a couple weeks I decided it wasn’t really for me; I was WFH and felt like I had to go drive even if I wasn’t planning to, just to save $0.75, which of course doesn’t make sense to do, and none of that is their fault, so I want to be 100% clear that this is still a 5-star rating at this point in my experience! $20 to find out that it would be great once I had a commute, but that I would be sticking with my previous(&current) phone plan. As soon as I wasn’t dealing exclusively with the automated systems/app, everything seemed to fall apart. They told me my service would be terminated on {date} which was exactly what I asked for and wanted. At this point I was still definitely planning to come back to them once I had a commute again, nothing bad quite yet, at least that I knew about. My rating would be impacted much more based on what happens when everything *isn’t* going smoothly, or automatically, or there’s an error somewhere. You don’t have great customer service if your service is great for the customers (the cell service that is). There has to be solid humans keeping everything right. Like sure I can sign up to give you money, but how simply/easy is it to downgrade service, or cancel, etc. Every one is nice when everything is going smoothly, it’s the other 4% of the time that it can go either way (usually *really* good or disappointingly bad). I still don’t know where the failure occurred, but 2 months later I notice an authorization charge come through on my card, and, hoping to stop the mistake before it actually processed, I reached out asking them to cancel it, as I had canceled two months earlier. I was surprised to see the charge. I wasn’t glad to be out the $20, but mistakes happen and I think, again, that it’s more important how a company responds to a customer service failure, which was a response to be wanting to not keep getting service, but that does seem like something that should be such a strange idea for a cell company.. I’d assume they process them on a daily basis? Anyway, I the person on live chat confirms they’ll take care of it (that is, that they’re going to take care of the first person apparently just putting the service on pause for a month or something instead of terminating it, I guess), so I figure that’s that, right?
