Swipe away and find a practice buddy with whom you engage in an immersive activity; meet and exchange in the language of your choice. It's quite simple actually! You enter the languages you speak well and the languages you would like to practice, choose an immersive group and then start swiping. Once you found a language match, you connect with our in-app message feature and set-up a meeting or a skype. When you meet, 20 mins happen in the language you know well and 20 mins in the language you would like to practice. Practicing regularly will help you use in the real world all the learnings you earned online or in class. With hellola you benefit from the unique immersive factor that will help you bump up your fluency level. WHY IMMERSIVE GROUPS: 1. A study of 50 language apps shows that most those. fall short in "pragmatics" (situations of everyday life). 2. Neuroscience has proven that learning a language through immersion is much more effective than the traditional learning methods. At hellola, we have created immersion groups that help you practice through a specific immersive activity. Going to the supermarket / shopping / walking / visiting museums and galleries has never been more constructive fun and conversational. FREE MEMBERS: Enjoy three immersive groups for free and contact as many members as you like. Practice, practice, practice and become fluent in the language of your choice. BECOME A PREMIUM MEMBER: Get access to as many immersive groups as you wish, create new groups and enjoy your favorite activities while you practice a language. Practice sessions are always enjoyable when same interests are shared! BECOME A TEACHER: anybody can now become a conversation teacher for hellola members. Enter the language you feel confident to teach and the fee you would be comfortable with for a 40 minute session and propose your services to our members. You are paid directly by the member through paypal or in cash before or after the class (your choice). Conversation classes can happen in person or through skype.
