## HGV Permit Checker Description
An application for Dublin City Council staff, citizens and law enforcement to help verify and report HGV permit infringements within a restricted designated cordon in Dublin City Centre. The application provides users with the ability to identify if HGVs’ (trucks with 5 axle or more) with the city cordon have a valid permit to be there during the hours of 07.00-19.00 seven days a week. If the users find that the HGV does not have a valid permit the user can then report the infringement via the App to Dublin City Council.

### **--- "Dropping a pin - doesn’t work accurately on iPhone"
I have used this app a few time - most trucks don’t seem to have a permit, but when you go to drop a pin on the location in the iPhone it doesn’t give any control and drops it in a random place.
Also, how do you register? There is a log in option but no facility to get an account- it would be great if you could hear back what about whether or not your report is admissible (and what actually happens!)

This app completely ignores all principles of user centred design. Users are required to submit reports, but there is zero feedback, no followup, no statistics... no action taken on the other end. Someone built an app, but completely ignore the service that needed to be implemented to make it effective.

City center on rush hours is a caos. The comute becomes very stressful and even more dangerous as everybody is trying to get home at the same time. And to make it worse there are lots of truck that don’t respect the restriction periods in city center. Some of them parked in a prohibited area, others stopping the flow of vehicles, or even parked on the foot path. I truly believe that this app will help a lot. Truck drivers will re-think before breaking the law, as per now there is this app to report them.  
 This app will benefit not only drivers but pedestrians too. Thank you for the great start.
