Seems misleading to claim I don't have an active subscription charge me for a year then shrug and say not our fault sorry no refunds. Avoid at all costs there's like three good anime on there that you may as well buy elsewhere.
I want to express my gratitude to HIDIVE for providing the option to watch anime with both dubbed audio and English subtitles simultaneously. This feature is incredibly valuable to me, and I greatly appreciate your commitment to inclusivity. I also want to thank you for including an LGBT category in your catalog, which makes your service even more appealing. However, I would like to note that the app interface could be a bit more user-friendly. I look forward to future improvements and will continue to enjoy your service with pleasure. You have to pay for it and plus it’s annoying
This app has to many issues to list but let’s go with an easy one good luck finding whatever you were last watching if you don’t remember the name of it because no single episode will link to the season when watching from return to and it has no book mark just a watch list in the form of a playlist it does one thing right it has the age rating for the anime and the year of release but that’s it the add is awful use HIDIVE yes but avoid this app at all costs it’s hell
They recently updated the app and is so much better looking and everything is more clear and organized
The player has improved but the title/name of the anime no longer shows and you can’t go to the series overview from the player to select different episodes. The update seemed great at first but this is a glaring issue that needs to be sorted…
On the app I can’t even see the anime that I used to watch and can’t remember all the names of them could you please bring back some place where I can see all the anime that I have watched?
New app does not show anime titles, just episode titles, in Continue Watching section. This makes it hard to work out which series are being watched. New app also does not correctly restore subscriptions, as despite restoring and waiting it still offers free trial periods and does not show the actual subscription.
HIDIVE’s latest app update has moved the app out of the Neolithic era to make it now actually usable. The design language isn’t perfect by any means—the side pull out menu is decidedly 2015, the bitrate ain’t great, the subtitle tech is still somewhat rudimentary, the settings menu is more bare than the fashion choices of the cast of their current seasonal lineup, and they still haven’t quite discovered what “onboarding” is (congrats on officially the smallest “Sign in” button of any streaming service?)…but offline downloads are nice and the UI is snappy with a modern look and feel. Good job on the rollout.
