I’m more than happy to pay a fiver a month like I do CR, but my god the app needs a serious update. Feels so basic, hard to see what you’ve watched and hard to change to next episode. Feels like a child designed the app in IT class.

Once I got into the app, I opened it signed it and I made an account. Tried to watch the anime I wanted to watch and I couldn’t watch it.

Ok, so the app isn’t as polished as say Netflix or crunchy roll. But it functions. Yeah it doesn’t auto play the next episode, but if you’ve accessed the series, you can swipe up for an episode list and just press the next one… it’s not rocket science. It’s got a good selection of stuff that Crunchyroll doesn’t have, which is why I started using it. If you put stuff you like the look of in a watchlist it’s easy to find what you’ve been watching, and what you want to watch next and find the series to get to the next episode. Yeah it doesn’t have “something similar” options in search. That’s a mild inconvenience at most. Honestly I feel that some of the bad reviews are from those who just want everything handed to them and be spoonfed stuff. The app works well enough, and you can set languages and subtitles. I give it 4 stars because of that, it misses the 5th star due to missing quality of life/spoonfeeding bits, as it’d be nice to have them.

1. If you look at an anime and click the first episode and the go to the same anime and watch a later episode it will put both on your watch again. 2.cant easily swap between languages 3. I was signed in and subscribed then cancel my subscription and later renewed it so I could continue watching what he wanted me to pay two different subscriptions at the same then when I gave in and paid both of them, I still couldn’t watch it.

It ruins the excitements of watching good anime. There good contents but the app development is extremely poor, can’t autoplay. It’s extremely hard to play next episode as poor design.

I mainly use crunchy but I thought I give HIDIVE a go. Lots great show but the app needs a serious update. Recently played and history doesn’t work right or stayed up to date. Where is next episode button ? Where is show name home button ? Add and fix the app and I would pay for a year but not with all this outdated work or a u finished app ?

Seems misleading to claim I don't have an active subscription charge me for a year then shrug and say not our fault sorry no refunds. Avoid at all costs there's like three good anime on there that you may as well buy elsewhere.

However, I would like to note that the app interface could be a bit more user-friendly. I look forward to future improvements and will continue to enjoy your service with pleasure.
