HighwayRadar gives you a heads-up about speed traps, enforcement, and cameras ahead so you can keep your eyes on the road and avoid surprises. Now with Apple CarPlay. Whether you're commuting, road-tripping, or just running errands, HighwayRadar helps you stay aware of what's coming up on your route with no expertise required. Open the app, start driving, and get clear, timely alerts. Get the peace of mind of knowing what's ahead without taking your attention off the road. WHAT YOU GET • Real-time police alerts shared by a community of drivers, often with the posted speed limit right at the alert location • A worldwide database of speed and red-light cameras, plus a US database of license-plate (ALPR) cameras, updated regularly • Aircraft speed-enforcement alerts that use smart logic to spot patrols trying to stay hidden • Heat maps that reveal where speed traps tend to happen even when no one is reporting right now • A Risk Score tailored to your exact location, time, and day, so you know when to stay extra alert • Local enforcement details where available: radar bands, common tactics, and vehicle descriptions SIMPLE, BUT AS CUSTOMIZABLE AS YOU WANT You don't have to touch a single setting to benefit. But when you're ready to fine-tune, HighwayRadar puts you in control: • Choose how far ahead you want to be warned, or let smart, speed-aware distances handle it for you • Decide which alerts matter: only what's on your street, anything ahead of you, or everything nearby • Turn specific camera types on or off • Filter out older reports and focus on fresh ones • Hear alerts through CarPlay, Bluetooth, or your phone speaker • Flash the screen for a quick visual heads-up when a new alert arrives BUILT FOR CARPLAY AND YOUR CAR • Full CarPlay support with maps, alerts, and easy reporting • A clean speed display showing the current limit alongside your own speed • Automatic zoom as you approach an alert, so you see the detail that matters • Traffic overlay, adjustable map angle and zoom, and a location icon you can personalize • Customizable light and dark themes that can follow your system or the local sunrise and sunset WORKS WITH YOUR RADAR DETECTOR (OPTIONAL) Already own a detector or laser system? HighwayRadar can connect to it and become your all-in-one alert hub, showing radar band, direction, and signal strength, muting weak or unwanted signals automatically, and creating GPS lockouts so the false alarms you pass every day stop bothering you (even if your detector doesn't have this functionality). Supported hardware includes Uniden R8/R4/R9 (and "w" models), Valentine V1 Gen2, Radenso DS1, and AL Priority. You can even hear spoken readouts of the detected band and direction, a favorite of motorcycle riders and anyone who'd rather keep their eyes up. WHY DRIVERS CHOOSE HIGHWAY RADAR • Awareness that goes beyond live reports, thanks to heat maps and Risk Score • Cameras, aircraft, police alerts, and radar, all in one place • Thoughtful controls that stay out of your way until you want them • Battery-friendly Power Save mode that winds the app down when you're parked GREAT FOR EVERY KIND OF DRIVE • Ideal for daily commutes and long road trips alike • Keeps frequent travelers aware of cameras and enforcement in unfamiliar cities • Inspired by and perfect for cross-country driving events where you're on the road all day • Takes the guesswork out of what's around the next bend Head out knowing what's ahead. Try HighwayRadar and see the difference a little awareness makes on every drive. Subscription required. Works in miles or kilometers. Signal-direction recognition is available on Uniden R8/R8w, R9/R9w, and Valentine V1 Gen2. I was new to radar detectors and learning as I went, hooking up Highway Radar to my Uniden R8. The combination is spectacular. Being able to see where the police had been reported on the Highway Radar map while also muting events from the radar detector itself, in combination with using Waze, saved my bacon several times on the trip down and the trip back. Easily one of the best apps I’ve ever used from the App Store since I started with iPhones a decade or so ago. Bravo to the developer! -- BillyDunn, 2026-01-25 ### ***** "Great App" Been using for over a year in the beta and loved it on multiple cross country trips. Can’t imagine driving without it now. -- jakevandee, 2026-01-25 ### ***** "Best all out there for cop tracking!" Amazing. Always helped me find the cops better and the interface is great! -- BricksForMax, 2026-01-24 ### ***** "Awesome!" I’ve followed the developer online as they’ve worked tirelessly to make this app. Awesome that it’s finally available for iOS. Can’t wait for ALPR and other features ! Worth the money for sure! -- syoung_2000, 2026-01-23 ### ***** "Very helpful app" Easy to use and very helpful while traveling. -- Running_Gigi, 2026-01-23 [View all HighwayRadar reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## HighwayRadar In-App Purchases | Item | Price | |------|-------| | Annual | $14.99 | | Family | $14.99 | | Monthly | $4.99 | ## HighwayRadar Available In - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/united-states) - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/canada) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/australia) - [Germany](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/germany) - [Egypt](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/egypt) - [Finland](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/finland) - [Iceland](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/iceland) - [Jamaica](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/jamaica) - [Sri Lanka](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/sri-lanka) - [Lithuania](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/lithuania) - [Luxembourg](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/luxembourg) - [Latvia](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/latvia) - [Mali](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/mali) - [Mexico](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/mexico) - [Netherlands](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/netherlands) - [New Zealand](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/new-zealand) - [Philippines](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/philippines) - [Romania](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/romania) - [Slovenia](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/slovenia) - [Armenia](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/armenia) - [South Africa](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/south-africa) - [Switzerland](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/switzerland) - [Denmark](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/denmark) - [Dominican Republic](https://apptail.io/app/highwayradar-jkpy/dominican-republic) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
