App

Probably a very good app but couldn’t save routes endyup deleting them every time opened it was in Europe have tried this app again tells me my walk was Perth & Kinross when was in fife yea am impressed not

Not easy

Hiking sole on

United Kingdom

The app looks nice but it’s not easy to use, you can not fin a hike telling a point to point places using a post code or names, you have to tell where is the place exactly on the maps

Almost Great

Mrmrhill on

United Kingdom

The different map options are great, especially OS and Harvey’s. The snap route planning is the best I’ve come across it uses FP & BW that most apps seem to not like. BUT resolution is terrible even on a iPhone Pro, OS doesn’t zoom from explorer to landranger. I’m not a fan of how you download the maps, doing it by region/area ie Lake District or N. Yorkshire is a far better system than zooming in and out and having to initiate multiple downloads for one trip. The suggested walks seem pretty good but I really only want it for planning and navigation. Unfortunately won’t be resubscribing as there are better options out there.

landscape mode

It falls at the first hurdle. I want to use app in landscape mode on my iPad. There is no option to do this. It cannot be that hard? Then when trying to plot a route it doesn’t snap to the last point if you use undo, it creates a line drawing connecting every point , utterly useless and they want you to pay.

Crashes when importing GPX

Jo@35 on

I have just started and probably going to stop using as I need to upload a GPX file and it crashes. Cant do what is suppose to do.

Very accurate

Great app, very accurate and reliable, especially in those little tricky sections. Just used for Hadrian’s Wall and it was fab. Had to contact customer support at the start due to my own incompetence and was assisted by Pete in less than a few minutes who helped me get sorted and on my way. Much appreciated Pete thank you, very quick response and had a fab time as a result. Not previously one to use apps, preferring a paper OS map, I would now recommend using this app and having a paper OS map just for back up. So easy to use, accurate, full of useful information such as shops, campsites, hostels, hotels, water sources etc and able to provide location and distance in a second. Downloadable maps for offline use too and overlaid maps to suit your own preference.

Really good until it crashes

Second time now app has crashed and lost all record of the 30km hike I had just done as I pressed end/save! Was really good up until that point though…

Great app

Rcrawford88 on

Brilliant app. Have been using it to plan a 9 day hike of the Snowdonia way. The trail stages breakdown has been particularly helpful in planning our daily routes and the fact you’re able to download the maps/route for offline use should be extremely helpful when we’re there as signal will no doubt be hit and miss. Recently had a slight glitch with the app where I couldn’t view the route map but after a quick message and response to the support team Eoin was able to solve the problem and get everything up and running again swiftly. Excellent to have that level of customer service! Five stars all round!

So good!
