## Hik-Connect Description
The Hik-connect app is designed to work with Hikvision series DVRs, NVRs and IP cameras which support Cloud P2P function. It allows you to live view your cameras remotely. All you need to do is creating an account and adding device into the account, then you can enjoy the real-time video from cameras on a global scale. It also allows you to play back recorded video to search every milestone of your life. When motion detection alarm of your device triggered, you can get an instant message notification from Hik-connect app.

This app is always freezing and not loading even when internet connection is fine. Doesn’t play sound for all cameras and misses half of the recording; eg skips about an hour at a time and on a few occasions has been when I needed that part of the recording… needs a lot of bug fixes and changes!

If I could give this app zero stars, I would. The Hik-Connect app is an absolute disaster. While the system records on the base device, trying to playback those recordings on your phone is nearly impossible. We’ve spent countless hours troubleshooting, tried at least 10 different ways to make it work, and even involved network technicians—all to no avail. It’s beyond frustrating, especially when playback functionality is one of the core reasons for installing a surveillance system in the first place.

To make matters worse, the app is riddled with poor usability, and no amount of tinkering seems to help. Avoid this app at all costs. If you’re considering surveillance options, I’d highly recommend looking into Eufy’s apps instead. They aren’t perfect, but compared to the dumpster fire that is Hik-Connect, they are leagues ahead. Save yourself the headache and go with a system that actually works.
