It is an app aimed at simplicity that allows hikers to keep track of their hikes easily without a lot of unnecessary stuff getting in the way. APPLE WATCH Easily start, pause, resume, and save a hike without ever getting your phone out of your pocket. Check your distance, speed, time, and altitude from your Apple Watch in realtime. STATS AND MAPS Vima tracks speed, distance, altitude, and time. It also gives you a map showing where you have been while you are saving a hike so you can see where you've been. COLOR CODED When viewing saved walks your route shows up on the map color coded by speed. It shows where you went the fastest (green) and where you were slowest (red). VOICE SUMMARY Don't want to look at the screen every few minutes? You can have the app tell you updates on your progress in set distance and/or time intervals. SPLIT TIMES Added splits to the history review page. Choose from 9 different distances and see how each section of your workout went. CALORIES See calories burned. Set your weight in settings and get your calories burned in real time and on the history page after your run. SHOE TRACKING Track the distance on your walking shoes so you know when it's time to replace them before they start causing problems PAUSE AND RESUME Pause the workout to catch your breath or chat with a friend and then resume when you get back to it. FACEBOOK & INSTAGRAM Share your workout with your friends on Facebook or Instagram with our easy to use integration. UNITS The supports both standard and metric units. HEALTH KIT Apple Health permissions allow us to enhance your data as well as saving your workout information to Apple Health. If you've read this far, you should definitely give Vima a shot. We think you'll love it, and if there is anything you'd like to see for the app in the future just let us know. We love hearing from our users. Note: Continued use of the GPS will reduce battery life. If you upgrade to a premium subscription, payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. The monthly subscription costs USD 4.99 per month, while the yearly subscription costs USD 19.99 per year. Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. There is no increase in cost when renewing. So, the premium cannot be restored via the iOS AppStore. In my experience, developers who use this tactic do so to grow their user base then pull a bait and switch. -- ElJefeTX, 2024-09-13 ### **--- "I am disappointed" Might be a great app, I don’t know yet. But I am disappointed, I found this app on my iPad on AppsGoneFree, as it is temporarily free. I looked at it, downloaded it on the iPad it looked good, but I don’t always carry my iPad on hikes, so I downloaded it on my iPhone. It installed but it will not give me the opportunity to claim the free lifetime option for this app, it tries to get me to sign up for the 7 day trial. I was also unable to find an option to contact the developers. Either a flaw or a bait and switch…. You decide. -- Capt Lock, 2024-09-12 ### ***** "Love it" Simple and easy to use hiking app. I use it to track my mileage and it works great. -- Tsc1956, 2024-07-29 ### ***** "Great app w/ awesome features" This app has some super convenient features during your workout (easy to see time, distance, etc), but it also has great post workout data and history. Average speed, max speed, calories, elevation (and more). You can even add and track your shoes so you know when you have too many miles on them. -- jkh03, 2024-05-20 [View all Hiking Tracker reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Hiking Tracker Discovered Keywords -
